Prof Castor knows her stuff and makes the content interesting. The homework load was decent and important for class discussions. The class was a mix of lectures and turn-and-talk discussions. The final was a group project and she didn't give much time to do it. Her citation expectations are big but her content expectations are vague.PHIL1111 2024-12-06 23:16:04 +0000 UTC
As a first-year engineering student, this was my favorite class of the semester, and I learned so much. It's really a sociology course tho. I hate writing papers and only had the midterm and final where I suffered. Class discussions and discussion posts was where I shone. Readings were long and took me 1-2 hours per. Very strict paper grader.PHIL3512 2024-08-12 03:15:36 +0000 UTC
I learned sm in this class! Course content/lectures are amazing and prof castor is amazing! Accommodating, passionate, super knowledgeable, kind & made the class a safe space. The final essay and midterm essay are difficult, and she is a fairly tough and knit-picky grader, but if you are grasping the content and annotating you will prob do well.PHIL3512 2024-04-12 01:10:09 +0000 UTC
