Dr. Avalon is extremely approachable and passionate about helping to support the next generation of healthcare leaders. She serves almost like a mentor as well as a professor. I encourage all of her students to make a connection with her and rally engage in the classroom discussions. Professor Avalon is a great teacher and very understanding. If an assignment is unclear she will communicate with you by email or phone. I love her she wants to see all her students succeed and is available outside of her class. There is weekly discussion boards, readings and articles to read. There will be a midterm paper which is easy. The final paper was a little difficult because Ive never done a grant proposal writing.
