The class recordings were not taught by Larissa and were outdated. Weekly quizzes required a lockdown browser and many readings; the questions were subjective and very poorly phrased, many times including spelling and grammar mistakes, not what you expect for an $8K course. The final's mean was a D-, which says a lot about the questions on it.STRT4501 2025-12-15 18:57:56 +0000 UTC
Take her she's fun. Class isn't super content heavy. Quizzes every week before class which weren't too bad.INTB1205 2024-12-30 12:53:59 +0000 UTC
She's very nice, and I'm sure the in-person version of this class is fine. but the online version is so poorly run it's actually frustrating. things aren't graded on time. you have to beg for vital info like grades and feedback. some of the lectures are out of date and the questions on the quizzes are so poorly worded. don't take this class.STRT4501 2025-12-09 03:54:19 +0000 UTC
Really kind and supportive, and the grading is just right (you'll have to earn an A).INTB1205 2024-12-05 03:00:20 +0000 UTC
I can't speak for in-person experience but my online experience for this professor was horrible. Bad communicator. Doesn't reply to emails promptly AT ALL. The weekly exercises are the biggest headache. Feedback is all AI or at least rewritten by AI (she will claim it's not but anyone who knows AI language can tell easily). Avoid if you can.STRT4501 2025-12-08 19:40:56 +0000 UTC
She is chill. We had case studies and textbook readings for hw, lectures in class, along with a couple group presentations and exams. We also had a couple guest speakers. Her lectures are sometimes a bit hard to follow but I enjoyed our debates about the cases in class. She is a very understanding person and passionate about her job. Network w her!INTB1205 2024-11-18 03:00:01 +0000 UTC
I think she is a good choice to take this course with as this is a challenging course no matter the professor. There is one long writing assignment, and the main project is in a group throughout the whole semester with multiple deliverables. She wants to connect with her students, so If you do the readings and come to class, she will support you.STRT4501 2025-12-04 21:04:32 +0000 UTC
Larissa gave very good and insightful lectures that had me looking forward to class. The content was engaging, and the work was interesting. There were some exams that were quite difficult and make up a large chunk of your grade, so be ready for that. There was a final group project that was heavy, but with a good group is very manageable.INTB1205 2024-04-22 17:56:56 +0000 UTC
She's silly/understanding and makes the capstone bearable. If you do the readings, take notes, keep up to date, and listen to lectures you will do fine. Weekly quizzes are hard (but small portion of grade). And theres 1 long case write up + 1 capstone presentation. Also knows how to incorporate the use of AI fairly! Would take her class over othersSTRT4501 2025-12-04 20:55:07 +0000 UTC
WORST PROFESSOR I'VE HAD AT NEU. She has completely random grading! At the end of the semester she just gave us a "end of semester grade" and told us not to believe canvas's grade WITH HER FORMULAS! She randomly changed our grades with no explanation! DO NOT TAKE!STRT4501 2025-04-23 12:06:46 +0000 UTC
horrid experience. believe the reviews when it comes to grading, because she grades with ai. me and a few friends ran our feedback through ai checkers and it came out 100%. instructions are nonsense and not detailed enough to put together good assignments. avoid at all costs, would've rather taken this in person with better prof.STRT4501 2025-04-22 00:39:14 +0000 UTC
Very unclear with instructions. Explains information falsely. Unbacked claims.STRT4501 2025-04-02 13:53:02 +0000 UTC
extremely unclear about deliverable expectations. rubric will say one thing, assignment description will say a different thing, and grades extremely unforgivingly. would not recommend if you care about your gpa.STRT4501 2025-03-22 19:14:27 +0000 UTC
At the beginning of the course, she says the average for this course will be 3.4 (B+) average, and very very few A's will be given out. Guidelines for projects and exams are generally unclear.STRT4501 2025-03-17 13:07:37 +0000 UTC
IN PERSON. Best professor I've had. The class structure was very simple: Case Studies, Paper, and Group Project. There were a few HBR cases that we needed to read and analyze before class. There was one long case study that required a 3-4 page paper. There was a final group presentation that took maybe 1 week of effort. 2 exams- lowest score was 82STRT4501 2024-05-29 05:09:23 +0000 UTC
