Professor Jaeggli is helpful when you are able to ask him questions. However, he does not respond to emails and office hours are often very crowded, making it difficult to ask him anything. Most of the learning that I did came from doing the homework. However, he is kind and funny, and made BMES not as miserable.BIOE2365 2024-12-04 20:26:29 +0000 UTC
Statistics is very difficult for me and as a result I struggled in this class. However, I always enjoyed lectures and I think he was fair about assignments. If you pay attention and study for quizzes, you'll be totally fine.BIOE2355 2023-12-03 21:52:07 +0000 UTC
Very respectful and fun guy and teaches the required material but can be lacking in areas. The graders (at least for my semester) were absolutely brutal. No way around BMES but be prepared for lackluster test prep and hard homeworks and exams.BMES 2018-12-22 06:13:17 +0000 UTC
Mike is the best professor I've had at Northeastern so far, and I hope to have him for more classes in the future.BIOE2650 2016-12-10 20:53:49 +0000 UTC
Professor Jaeggli was really fun to have as a lecturer. Sometimes he spoke too slowly which made statistics hard to follow, but overall he is lenient on grading and answers a lot of questions in class. Hard to reach by email, so show up in class.BIOE2365 2023-12-19 20:09:21 +0000 UTC
Best professor ever!BIOE2355 2019-07-01 18:19:24 +0000 UTC
jaeggli did a good job of making the class as interesting as possible. the class alternated between some boring lectures and interesting lectures. he was understanding throughout the course. however, he did save stuff till the last minute and i wish there were more instruction when it come to certain assignments bc his guidelines were often vague.BIOE2365 2023-05-01 22:46:26 +0000 UTC
Prof Jaeggli was an amazing professor in Quantitative Physiology. I took it over the summer and really enjoyed coming to class and learning from him everyday. The course material was accessible and engaging and I really benefited from the class. The tests actually helped me to solidify my understanding of the material and helped me retain the info.BIOE2355 2019-06-25 18:26:00 +0000 UTC
The only grades are quizzes and projects, both of which are take-home. Definitely lecture-heavy, some being interesting with good examples, but can get dry. The content is pretty difficult, especially if you have no statistic knowledge, but can get through it if you take your time on assignments.BIOE2365 2022-12-14 00:27:37 +0000 UTC
Professor Jaeggli is the best professor I have had at NEU. He takes the extra step and is always available to work with students, answer questions, and make sure the class material is well-understood. His classes are well-organized, convey the information really well, and ensure long-term retention.BIOE2355 2019-06-20 02:49:51 +0000 UTC
Jaeggli was a fantastic professor. I took BMES online during COVID, but the classroom connection was still there. He's a great guy and a fair grader. The class itself was tough, literally a MatLab + statistics class. You'll do well if you try, but can easily get lost in the work. Would recommend him for anything though, especially for BMES.BIOE2365 2021-12-19 19:09:12 +0000 UTC
Jaeggli alternates between excellent and dry lectures. He uses real-life examples that do make sense, so I'd say his class was useful and at times enjoyable, but not much fun. He's a great dude, but his class is pretty inaccessible to someone who's never taken statistics before.BIOE2365 2021-12-17 05:01:49 +0000 UTC
He's a really talented lecturer and manages to make a lot of boring and complicated topics interesting. Lots of work though.BIOE2365 2021-11-30 16:26:37 +0000 UTC
best teacher i've had at northeastern. very fair and has good lectures and is always open to questions. managed to make stats fun and tolerable and that is no easy taskBIOE2365 2021-01-23 20:36:40 +0000 UTC
I had a great time in BMES. Honestly the class was easy if you just listen during his lectures (most people dont and then struggle on the test). I was pretty nervous going in since I had very little stats knowledge, but I've left it with a love for stats. This class was super appealing to my now manager for co-op. Listen during lectures & practice!BIOE2365 2020-12-05 23:43:00 +0000 UTC
