Parsons knows what he is talking about but is kinda dull. You are bound to lose interest in his class but try to pay attention and you will do well. The class is not too hard so do some self-learning before the exams and you will be fine.GB213 2014-11-10 13:17:22 +0000 UTC
Extremely dull class. While he is enthusiastic about statistics, Parsons lectures like a robot. Do not buy the textbook he never uses it. Tests are fair, but there is a quiz almost every class and he tends to provide only a vague description of the topics on it.MGSC2301 2012-12-05 17:49:33 +0000 UTC
The most clear professor I ever had. He can make statistics sound interesting and not boring while explaining everything clearly.MGSC1201 2012-01-24 23:27:57 +0000 UTC
Great professor! Big on class participation. Do the practice problems given and you should do fine on the tests. I actually ended liking the subject because it was relevant to m job and it gave me a new way to think about it's operations. Presentations were also pretty easy, too.MGSC3401 2009-12-21 19:17:02 +0000 UTC
Great Professor. Classes are almost completely lectures, but he is very good at explaining concepts and making the material easy to comprehend.MSCU401 2009-04-30 14:03:11 +0000 UTC
Nice guy. No final. Pass the 5 papers in and do well on the tests and you'll be fine. He's very nice and easy to talk to. The tests are just based off some simple formulas. Take Parsons if you can!MSC401 2006-12-13 17:20:40 +0000 UTC
Easy course to get through if you show up for class every day and do the work. I got an A- when I thought I was getting a B. A couple projects and tests but overall an easy course and he is a very organized professor.OPERATIONSMANG 2006-05-09 14:42:30 +0000 UTC
Great Guy. He doesn't throw curveballs on the tests so they are pretty straightforward. As long as you pay attention nd study a bit you should do fine.MSCU409 2006-05-07 11:20:00 +0000 UTC
Very nice guy. very well prepared for class. Helpful. One of the best i had at NUOPERATIONMNGT 2005-09-07 06:15:55 +0000 UTC
Parsons is a good teacher who is willing to help you if you have any concerns. Initially, I had difficulty in understanding the concepts and terms he was using; however, he was willing to help and explain the concepts. There are a decent amount of quizzes, but he drops a few. He also has a study session before the exam. Lastly do not buy book.MGSC2301 2012-03-29 12:09:37 +0000 UTC
Explains statistics and probability better than anyone. I cannot stress enough how clear his explanations are, even for difficult topics. He assigns a lot of homework at the beginning of the semester to scare you, but doesn't assign any afterwards. Lastly, you will rely on a lot on his classpack, be ready to buy three of them.MGSC1201 2011-12-01 22:02:53 +0000 UTC
Great professor and pretty easy class. Tests can be tricky, but you should be fine. Will do anything to help you, including giving you a rain forest full of paper. Very smart (especially about Boston) and definitely comes prepared to teach. Plans out the class perfectly and it goes by pretty quickly. Definitely would recommend Parsons!MSCU401 2009-04-13 17:11:51 +0000 UTC
He is a very good teacher, really understands statistics. However, he screwed my GPA this semester because in order to receive an A in the class, you need to have above a 95. I guess a 92 didn't cut it, so I got an A-. Other than that, he is a great teacher, I'd recommend taking him!MGSC1201 2011-05-03 16:20:46 +0000 UTC
A good professor. Parsons teaches the material well and the material itself is not that difficult. I thought his lectures and classes were well planned and he is an ok grader. However, I thought the material of the class was very useless and outdated which is not his fault......MSCU401 2008-06-27 08:15:43 +0000 UTC
Good teacher, sometimes repetitive, could single-handedly be responsible for the demise of the rainforest with all the paper he hands out.MSCU401 2008-05-15 10:42:51 +0000 UTC
