Prof Hayne rules. You'll never have a more down to earth professor at this school. She knows what she teaches and makes an effort to get to know everyone in the class beyond their student ID. This class is really good, esp if you are in the architect program here. She covers a lot of historical stuff that ties in with projects you'll work on at some point, makes use of the actual city instead of just talking or making us read about it (field trips) and brings in guest speakers who are good resources. her class Growth/Decline of cities and suburbs is awesome, she takes you out on field trips, her tests are easy and she's very easy to understand. Assistant Prof Hayne was horrible. I felt like it wasnt even a class...I learned nothing, she was always out and never in her office during her posted hours. I feel like she didnt care about the class, and it made everyone else start to feel the same way. She was the worst professor i had all semester. I emailed her many times without getting a response. She was not there when i went in for help during her office hours and was very unclear about what she wants. She takes off on papers if you do not phrase something the way she wants it to be phrased.
