I took this class because of the great ratings it had on rate my professor. The teacher was nice and helpful if you went to her, but she was one of the harder graders I have ever had. The T.A graded even harder than the actual teacher. I did not like her. If you are looking to get an A, don't take the class. The class is interesting. It gives a very basic understanding of Judaism and its history and practice. Attendance is mandatory but class isn't that bad. 3 exams; 4 easy essays; and a Synagogue visit paper (also easy). The only negative about this course is the amount of assigned reading. The class is easy but the material isn't presented in an interesting way. Lectures are boring, but you should go because that's where the material for tests comes from.
