Without a doubt, my favorite professor I've had in my four years at Northeastern. He is noticeably passionate about what he teaches and makes the class feel so welcoming -- I always looked forward to going to class. Professor Cuenca is literally the nicest person ever. I've never seen him without a smile on his face. He told us if we didn't want to do our midterm when it was due, then to just submit it whenever and email him when we do. The midterm was a 5 minute video of ourselves talking about a movie. I love this professor. He is one of the best lecturers and teachers I have ever had. The passion he has for the spanish language and language in general is unmatched. He walks through very interesting linguistic examples. His homework, tests, and projects are all very interesting but still easy to get a good grade on. Dr. Cuenca is an amazing professor! He's knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about his students. I've studied Spanish since 3rd grade, and his grammar teaching is the most effective I've experienced. He's lovely. Really nice man who genuinely cares about his students. I took Latin American Film with him. He assigns really interesting films to watch, and offers great discussion questions that make analyzing the movies fun and informative. He's really optimistic and funny. Profe Cuenca is the best! He taught me Spanish in a way that I had never thought of before. He essentially goes back and teaches you everything you have learned in Spanish before, and then explains it a million times better. He teaches in such an original, passionate, and inspirational way and is excited to help every student do the best they can.
