Prof. Kimbro is all alright, he is a researcher who teaches one undergrad course, so he isn't super great at actually teaching. The majority of the course is group work, where "you learn" and he just guides. Exams are pretty abstract and difficult but he curves them to a 90-95 average. While Dr. Kimbro displayed an honest dedication to the learning outcomes of his students, his serious and professional classroom atmosphere was somewhat stifling. I did not leave with much professor-student understanding, and the class was quite stressful overall. The Statistics content was no small part of this. Prof. Kimbro is a great professor. However, there's only some summary point on his powerpoint, this requires you to listen really carefully in class. He scores high on his assignments (he almost always scores them above 95). He'll give three exams but you only have to take two. Course was easy but the professor was so bad. Clearly values being a researcher more than being a professor. Unwilling to admit when he makes a mistake and is terrible at answering emails.
