I'm sure he's a capable researcher but it's so clear that he doesn't care about teaching. Every lecture he would stumble his way through some slides he didn't care to prep for. One day he delivered a lecture he already presented! Hari was the worst professor I've had at Northeastern. I had genuine discussions with peers about whether he knew the Systems & Signals content. If you ask a question, he loves to give an answer to a unrelated question and fumble his way out of answering your question. Hari is rarely prepared for class and cannot function without his TA. His syllabus is so unclear that he accidentally gave the exact same lecture three times in a semester without realizing it. Dishonest about uploading HWs when he promised - we had 2 short homework assignments the whole semester. Exams worth 85% of grade. Scrolls aimlessly thru handwritten notes for the whole lecture. The only thing that gets put in the gradebook are three tests or "quizzes" worth 15% each, 5% in class participation and attendance, and a final worth 50%. While he is generous with his grading, he does NOT curve. Only 7 people passed this one quiz with 80%+, the others had 40% or lower, and he did nothing about it.GE2361 2019-12-04 14:32:52 +0000 UTC
