Dr. Cole was the best Professor i ever has. She was thorough and passionate. Natural disasters was so much fun that I almost forgot I was filing a science requirement. She does the best she can with a huge class, I think there must be 400 of us in her class with no TA. Shes funny and sweet.ENVU114 2019-08-03 16:19:47 +0000 UTC
Jennifer is a really nice teacher and I love her group teaching method. She occasionally makes mistakes on quizzes and homework but that can be forgiven since she does not penalize students for her mistakes. This phonology class is an easy A. Take this class!LING302 2015-04-22 13:57:11 +0000 UTC
DROP THIS CLASS! Her quizzes are ridiculously tricky and impossible. She doesn't offer any extra help. If you need an Env. credit take another class!ENVR1101 2013-04-10 12:21:09 +0000 UTC
Honestly, best decisions I ever made for my science requirement. It was an easy A. Just go to class and take notes, and you can get all A's on the four tests that make up your grade that are just multiple choice. I actually found it also helpful for the future, and learned useful stuff in her class. Take her class, you will not regret it.ENVR1111 2012-04-02 22:51:47 +0000 UTC
avoid this teacher. Exams extremely difficult boring classENVIR1101 2012-02-13 15:17:13 +0000 UTC
Okay so this review is for those guys that are taking it just to fulfill the science requirement...DO NOT take this class, her tests are ridiculously hard..I only got a b cause I did the extra credit but the work load for a test is just makes the class not worth it..take something else instead...EVIRO1101 2010-12-15 02:32:39 +0000 UTC
great teacher and by far the easiest and most interesting way to fulfill your sci req. information from lectures is VERY important, take really good notes. also make sure to do the super easy extra credit papers, because it will really boost your grade. plus, she's really nice, funny, and tells you things you prob. would never know otherwise :)NATDIS 2010-06-30 17:30:10 +0000 UTC
I am really interested in environmental studies, yet Cole killed all of my enthusiasm. She is BORING, her class is AWFUL, her tests are IMPOSSIBLE. She assigns a ton of reading, she doesn't come across as passionate about her field. There are 4 tests, the questions are crazy. My advice? take biology 101 to fulfill your science requirement.ENVIR1115 2010-04-16 17:14:17 +0000 UTC
Okay here's the deal. 1. Attendance is not mandatory, HOWEVER, if you don't go you'll fail. 2. You have to study and take thorough notes. I have never studied more for a class than i have for this one. 3. There are only 4 tests, noncummalitve, no final or midterm. Due to the limited amount of points, you have to do well on the tests.NATURDISA 2010-04-01 12:40:22 +0000 UTC
Professor Cole definitely knows the material but when she lectures, she goes through SO much information, it's sometimes impossible to write down EVERYTHING which she tests you on. Her exams are rough since the multiple choice has ambiguous choices to throw you off but she curves everything. Go to her office hours, she's really approachable there.ENV114 2009-12-03 13:37:16 +0000 UTC
The Edible environment class. She knows her stuff, but you really have to know your stuff. The tests are brutal. They are extremely detailed, so pay close attention to everything, and read everything, because you never know what will be a question. She's very...eccentric, just be cautious. She makes you work.HNRU342 2009-08-26 14:27:36 +0000 UTC
first off, don't buy the book. you NEED to go to class. if you dont go you will fail. theres about 4 or 5 tests so you have to do fairly well on all of them and there's no chance for extra credit apart from the ones on the test. really boring class. too much information, you relaly need to write down EVERYTHING SHE SAYS.she speaks fast. good luckNATDI101 2009-06-11 01:12:53 +0000 UTC
The science credit is simply useless at this University because it is satisfied by vague classes which cover no topic in depths and expose students to only topical areas of useless information. Sciences should be taught as an elective or as a serious class.ENV1114 2009-03-09 12:02:30 +0000 UTC
She was the worst professor I had in my four years at Northeastern. My disdain for her and her class still inspires me to write about her even though I graduated two years ago.NATDI1 2009-03-05 14:15:37 +0000 UTC
Class was fast paced and easy.ENV115 2009-01-05 13:50:59 +0000 UTC
