Acted condescending and did not have a lot of structure to the classENGW3302 2025-12-21 22:33:24 +0000 UTC
There is a ton of work for this class. You essentially have 2 weeks to write a 1200-1500 word essay with 2 peer reviews. Laurie is an amazing professor and will help you through it, but you definitely have to work for an A, moreso than other ENGW1111 sections. You will work a lot, learn a lot, and enjoy her class a lot.ENGL1111 2024-12-13 21:17:48 +0000 UTC
Laurie was one of the best college profs I've ever had. She made the class interesting when the content might not have been. Her feedback was very good, and you were able to make points back because she grades out of 105 instead of 100. Overall one of the best I've had!ENGW1111 2024-06-25 23:26:31 +0000 UTC
Professor Nardone puts a lot of effort into her class. She asks students about the assignments they want to do and makes sure it is interesting for them. A lot of homework but it is manageable. Always wants to help students.ENG111 2024-01-12 18:12:49 +0000 UTC
Amazing.ENGL1110 2019-09-03 19:39:53 +0000 UTC
Prof. Nardone is a great educator and provides fair feedback. She's polite and usually answers emails within twenty-four hours. I would suggest taking a different section of advanced writing if you want your individual contributions to be factored into your grade equally with group work.ENGW3315 2016-12-13 18:43:24 +0000 UTC
Laurie is an amazing teacher! I had her for Advanced Writing in the Sciences online during Summer 1. Although the class is a lot of work, especially in a condensed summer semester, you can see the value in every assignment you do and she gives great and quick feedback! Take her class if you want to want to put in work and learn something.ENGW3307 2016-06-21 13:47:39 +0000 UTC
Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Laurie Nardone, especially if it's for AWD. Worst class I have ever taken at Northeastern. Syllabus was 15 pages long, on top of 8-10 page syllabi for each assignment - not that they actually helped at all. Instead they were confusing and unclear. PChem was easier than this.3315 2015-06-23 16:56:14 +0000 UTC
Laurie was a tough professor. I feel that she really helped me learn in an online setting, and she guided me in becoming a better writer.ENGW3304 2014-12-08 08:36:34 +0000 UTC
Laurie is the best! She will improve your writing skills. My writing abilities have increased 10 fold...It's quite a bit of work, but you just have to try. She really cares about increasing the student's ability to think and write critically. Fun and engaging classroom setting. The most laid back professor I've ever had.ENGW1110 2014-03-23 09:58:28 +0000 UTC
Laurie teaches advanced writing in both the classroom and online. I took her class online and it was the most organized and helpful online class ever. Laurie is a fair grader and always willing to help you. She offers in person office hours and gives great feedback and suggestions. If you have the opportunity take her class! :)ENGW3301 2014-03-18 20:21:39 +0000 UTC
Down to earth teacher. Fun and interesting class with plenty of open discussion but hard grader.ENGU111 2008-04-02 00:56:57 +0000 UTC
1200 word essay due on the third day of the semester for an asynchronous class, always takes off points, 0 leniency for late submission no matter the circumstance, overall just a horrible experience. Seems to think you aren't taking other classes and assigns the workload accordingly. dihENGW3302 2025-06-09 20:42:13 +0000 UTC
She is the best writting professor at Northeastern. But soooo hard. Too much and hard work.ENGL1111 2023-12-21 15:06:06 +0000 UTC
I don't care for creative writing and really should not have taken the honors section, but it was way too much work. I've probably spent most of my time on this class last semester, and I'm in a STEM program! For each of the four essays, you will have to submit 2-3 discussion posts, a free write, draft, revision plan and final draft (in 3 weeks).ENGW1111 2024-01-07 22:11:45 +0000 UTC
