Definitely not a traditional teacher, but you'll do well in this class as long as you show up and participate. My grade didn't drop below an 100 the entire semester and there are opportunities for extra credit. Please pick her. She is super nice and truly amazing. You do not need perfect grammar. She is old school and makes you write instead of type, but she is very helpful. Her class activities are great. If you're worried about being a bad writer, this class is for you. The professor is understanding of all skill levels & grades more on effort than perfection. There are no formal assessments besides opinion-based writing, so you'll do fine. She can be a bit quirky (made me uncomfortable at times), but she's a good person. Crain is a free spirited professor. She gives a good amount of homework and reading but honestly everything is usually opinion based and she grades lightly. Even on essays, she wants you to make mistakes and have typos.. if its too put together its an issue for her.
