Love this woman. Very clear lectures, frequently pauses for questions, and quizzes are literally pulled directly from the HW. She also gives you multiple practice midterms and finals that are almost identical to the real thing. Best math instructor I've ever had, and a super easy A if you do the bare minimum amount of work. Definitely recommend!MATH1341 2026-01-26 21:36:30 +0000 UTC
Took her for geometry but that wasn't an option so posting here. She's an incredibly nice woman, but the class took up an irrational amount of time for a math elective, and the grading was unnecessarily harsh.MATH3081 2025-12-17 06:58:35 +0000 UTC
Amazing. Best professor I've ever had at Northeastern. If you put in some work, you are almost guaranteed an A.MATH1101 2025-05-09 01:47:36 +0000 UTC
Honestly an amazing professor. She did a great job explaining calc. Had taken calc in high school so was a repeat pretty much but things i was confused on she was always willing to help. quizzes were basically homework, exams were exactly the same as practice tests especially the final. she sets you up to succeed - couldn't recommend more!MATH1342 2025-04-22 22:47:21 +0000 UTC
Great professor. She doesn't go too fast and tries to make class enjoyable.MATH2331 2024-10-02 14:10:51 +0000 UTC
Content-wise - it's such an easy class. There is a lot of busy work with the in-class activities and homework. She is a very harsh grader when it comes to the problem of the week and portfolios. There aren't clear guidelines and expectations, so she takes off a lot of points for things she never specified, which can be very frustrating.MATH1213 2023-12-13 22:04:32 +0000 UTC
I absolutely loved Professor Williams' class. She kept me engaged in calculus, something that is very difficult for me. She is a very fair grader and gives tons of partial credit on tests. Her lectures truly are great and she is passionate about what she teaches. A true gem at Northeastern!MATH1231 2021-11-19 17:38:40 +0000 UTC
I loved Professor Williams! I am not a math person at all but her lectures left me understanding almost all of the material! She was always willing to answer questions from the class and from homework. I bought the textbook and we didn't end up using it that much, though it was helpful for extra review. I would definitely recommend her!MATH1251 2017-12-15 13:31:58 +0000 UTC
A very good professor! I hate math and she made it bearable. Her lectures were never boring and she made all math concepts very clear. I really liked her.MATH1215 2017-05-18 21:03:27 +0000 UTC
Professor Williams clearly cares about her students and is passionate about what she teaches. I enjoyed this class a lot, and it was very straightforward. Quizzes are just HW problems and all the notes are posted on Canvas so it's not hard to do well in this class even if you miss lectures. Would highly recommend!MATH1341 2025-12-14 00:22:23 +0000 UTC
This class (Geometry, no option to select) was extremely difficult. All the exams were take home, and they took HOURS to complete. She was very specific with her proofs, and she was not very lenient with grading. While she is very enthusiastic, I do not recommend taking this class. I do not feel like I have grown as a student with this class.MATH3081 2024-12-14 05:12:03 +0000 UTC
I'm not a fan of mathematics but when I took her class, she made everything so easy to understand! Her lectures are amazing and she is more than happy to help out any student who is having any difficulty in the class. If I had to take anymore math classes, I would be more than happy to take one of hers again!MATH1101 2017-09-23 14:54:16 +0000 UTC
She is honestly the best math professor/teacher I have ever had. The content on the quizzes all comes from homework and the midterm and final were very clear and pretty much the same as the past papers. She really cares about her student and explain content very well. Take her class!MATH1342 2025-01-07 21:59:30 +0000 UTC
Prof. Williams is one of the most caring professors I've ever had. She's a great lecturer who clearly has a passion for teaching and is always willing to help. I would highly recommend taking her for any math class at Northeastern.MATH2331 2023-04-16 19:07:45 +0000 UTC
She is awesome and so nice. As a Political Science/Journalism major, I wasn't ecstatic about taking a math class. She made it simple, fun, and I learned a lot. If you're like me it'll probably be the first math class you've ever fully enjoyed. If you do the homework, get her feedback on the portfolios, and do the practice tests, you will get an A.MATH1213 2022-12-11 23:07:45 +0000 UTC
