Honestly you will probably have to teach yourself most of the content if you are not already familiar, but she provides videos from the course coordinator that teach you everything you need to know for the exams. She is very sweet and will try her best to help you learn, but it usually isn't super helpful.MATH1341 2026-02-12 23:34:11 +0000 UTC
Need to attend lectures, teaches extremely well, easy to understand. Group projects have no clear grading criteria only instructions but they easy because she breaks it up into sections. If you listen and ask questions you'll get a good gradeMTH1231 2026-02-10 21:54:56 +0000 UTC
Made exams very difficult. Graded veryyy tough on group projects. She is knowledgable but doesn't teach very well. Sometimes condescending or ignorant attitude.MATH1231 2026-01-08 20:35:29 +0000 UTC
I've seen this professor tell her student he should get EVALUATED because he didn't understand derivatives---------- do I need to say anything else.MATH1213 2025-06-18 02:38:53 +0000 UTC
Raj's class was challenging at first because it took some time to understand her teaching style and personality. However, once you adjust, the class itself isn't bad. You just need to be prepared to teach yourself much of the material. She does tend to share a lot about her personal life during lectures.MATH1215 2025-04-28 01:29:29 +0000 UTC
lectures are all over the place, jumps from topic to topic and doesn't tie everything together, super hard grader, tests are sometimes on material we've never learned, overall don't recommend1231 2024-12-06 05:47:48 +0000 UTC
She is great at being available for extra help, even if you only want some extra problems to make sure you understand what's happening. I don't understand why anyone would think that she's condescending, because she is always trying to help students get over the problems that stump them, so that, in the future, they can overcome the same problem.MTH0105 2010-10-29 16:51:42 +0000 UTC
AWFUL! Condescending and rude.MTH1215 2009-11-20 19:52:19 +0000 UTC
Loved this class, maybe it was becuase I love math but the professor was also great. This course is really easy if the student has any background in Calculus. Quizes every week but we always review them and HW most of the time. The professor was really easy to reach and helpful. I would recomend this class to everyone who is interested in math.MTHU121 2008-12-11 15:13:42 +0000 UTC
I taught myself most of this class, she can be generous with partial credit but also nitpicks a lot. She cold calls and often makes students feel bad if they don't know the answer. If you don't take her too seriously and you show up to class you are fine. She also gives numerous opportunities to boost your grade so just do every extra quiz/project.MATH1341 2025-12-20 01:22:12 +0000 UTC
I don't get why Raj gets a bad rep. I had taken calc before so understanding concepts was easy. I can't speak on behalf of people who hadn't yet taken calc but if you have already taken a calc course, Raj's class reinforces concepts and is super easy. Raj herself is super nice and while calc isn't simple, she makes it bareable. Good class overall.MTH1231 2021-05-07 20:29:26 +0000 UTC
Honestly one of the worst professors I have had so far, make sure you do well on all the online homework and group project as that is the only way to say your grade. Final is worth 40% and half of it is topics she either barely discussed or just brushed right through.MATH1231 2025-12-29 19:03:33 +0000 UTC
WORST professor. I was sick for three classes and couldn't catch up.Told me"Ur not the student u used to be" and made me cry. Has no teaching plan. Semester gets increasingly harder.Vids helped. No notes published to review. Doesn't tell u ur grade in class until semester is over and claims that PET PEEVE IS PEOPLE NOT KNOWING THEIR OVERALL GRADE?MATH1213 2024-12-07 21:46:44 +0000 UTC
I had her for mathematical thinking and it was one of the best classes I've ever taken. She lectures in the way that she engages the class so everyone learns. Before every quiz you can have her go through anything you are confused on. I would 100% take this class again.MATH1215 2025-02-28 08:47:31 +0000 UTC
RAJINI IS A BAD TEACHER. She always comes to the 8:00 am class 30 minutes late and tries to make several excuses about how the T broke down 10 times . She leaves confusing reviews on the group projects and cuts points off for unnecessary corrections. She does not what to correct in the group project properly as well . DO NOT TAKE HER .1231 2023-11-19 18:46:21 +0000 UTC
