CS3700 is not easy, but Alan makes it fun and you learn a lot. He makes you want to attend lectures because you interactively learn how to build the entire Internet together. The projects are incredibly difficult - as they are with any CS course - but you learn a lot and come out more knowledgeable.CS3600 2022-04-26 12:17:28 +0000 UTC
Alan was a great prof. Lectures were super easy to follow and helpful.CS2500 2019-01-23 17:23:28 +0000 UTC
CS 5600 is the hardest class I have ever taken. That being said Alan is a great teacher and a great guy who does some really cool research. He knows how hard his class is and grades it in such a way that by demonstrating effort and understanding you can still get a good grade even if your projects don't all work.CS5600 2010-12-17 13:19:34 +0000 UTC
By far the best professor I've ever had at Northeastern, and the best lecturer I've ever met. A brilliant professor by all accounts. If you have an open elective slot and Mislove is teaching a class, take the class whatever it is just to get a class with Mislove.CS3600 2022-04-20 17:55:25 +0000 UTC
Best CS2500 professor at Northeastern. Would highly recommend to anyone that has to take this class. Lectures are the most important, as the textbook is rarely used, and Mislove kills it. Huuuuuge Mislove guy.CS2500 2018-12-03 21:00:35 +0000 UTC
Mislove is one of the best CS professors you'll ever have at NEU. He's aware that the course material is difficult for Systems & Networks and he goes out of his way to make sure his students fully understand concepts before moving on. This course requires an honest effort but he makes it easy to stay focused.CS3600 2014-04-08 23:58:23 +0000 UTC
Mislove was my best professor this semester. He gives super detailed lectures and makes every concept very clear. All his lectures are posted online as well if you don't want to attend class. He gives extra credit for participation as well. He is also a super nice and super funny guy.CS2500 2018-11-30 16:42:52 +0000 UTC

Had him for Systems & Networks. The class is a lot of work, but he was one of the best professors I've had at Northeastern. Office hours are very helpful. Lectures sometimes move quickly but he explains things very clearly.CS3600 2013-03-18 21:06:06 +0000 UTC
