I've taken cs5001, cs5006, and cs5008 with him. His classes are structured with a very solid pedagogical foundation. Online class videos are not taught by this professor. One hw lasts for two week, includes so many difficult and abstract things. The instructions are messy. HW not only need to write code, but also answer many questions, make structure design, write tests and brainstorm, fill up reports.
