Just read the comment about being a Russian Santa Claus. That's an accurate statement.MATH1365 2010-11-22 01:11:52 +0000 UTC
he's incredibly smart. and can sometimes have trouble explaining the subject matter because he is so smart and finds it so easy. but he really tries to help you learn the material.MTHU165 2009-01-09 00:04:41 +0000 UTC
he's a nice guy and really wants everyone to learn, but the subject can be boring and difficult. weekly quizzes and cumulative final. go to class, take notes and do the hw and you should do fine.MTH165 2008-01-13 15:04:32 +0000 UTC
His notes are jumbled, his accent is hard, but he's a great teacher. If your confused he's great in office hours. His classes are easy and there's a quiz once a week and a final. He's a great professor compared to others are Northeastern. I would recommend his class.LINALG 2005-12-18 13:53:42 +0000 UTC
he was a bad teacherDISCRETE 2003-12-19 17:57:27 +0000 UTC
Some consider him tough, but he's not bad. He used a huge curve in my class. A 30% was passing, but the material definitely was not that hard. Tests can be demanding. Funny guy, takes math very seriously. Can't communicate well outside of math.CALC2 2003-12-19 14:54:13 +0000 UTC

I thought he was the funniest guy. Enjoyable class and he did a good job of dumbing down the material so that you could understand. If you have time, read the chapter beforehand like he recommends. "Mandatory" attendance, but it doesn't count for anything. Strongly recommend him, I think he's a good teacher. Go just for the accent/jokes.MATH1365 2010-11-22 01:09:31 +0000 UTC
He takes attendence but it doesn't count for anything. He gives weekly quizzes that have bonus questions and are easy. He has a strong accent but he is very good at explaining and you can tell he cares about his students.MTHU165 2008-12-29 01:18:10 +0000 UTC
He's a cool guy who teaches well. The class starts out boring, easy and slow but picks up and becomes interesting. Never becomes difficult. It's an intro class and he's a good teacher.MTH165 2008-01-07 19:34:14 +0000 UTC
A little hard to understand with his thick Russian accent. He's pretty easy and is a very nice guy.DISCRETE 2003-09-14 23:21:06 +0000 UTC
Good professor. Doesn't assign homework in Discrete Math! Funny, too.MTH1137 2003-01-10 17:48:48 +0000 UTC
Very funny and joyful. He is a nice guy, loves math, and teaches well. There are weekly quizzes and a cumulative final. The class is a bit challenging but if you do the homework and pay attention in class, you should be ok. He has extra credit opportunities and i recommend office hours if you are struggling, because he is more than willing to help.MTHU165 2007-12-07 17:14:34 +0000 UTC
A VERY experienced professor. Quizes every week, sometimes they are take-home quizes( as well as midterm). The course itself isn't the easiest one, so it requires a lot of studying. The professor is helpful, especially during office hours and e-mail, posts all grades online.MTH165 2006-12-19 09:01:00 +0000 UTC
Zelevisky is a Russian santa claus. He is a fun teacher who laughs at all the little math jokes he constantly makes. I didn't but enough effort into class, and it wasn't that hard, i got a b- with slacking offDISCRETE 2003-05-20 22:56:29 +0000 UTC
