She's a sweetheart and generally likes teaching her subject unlike many other professors. Her lectures may be long, but they aren't bad and she likes to up the mood with jokes and stuff. This professor is extremely easy, but the class is very boring. It is hard to say if it is worth sitting through the awful long dry lectures to get an easy A. The quizzes are insultingly simple and you don't learn much, but like I said,you can easily get an A. One of the best professors I have ever had. She lays more emphasis on her lectures instead of the text book. Also, she knows how to guide you to read many historic documents so that you can understand and remember the historic event very well without spending too much time on memorizing any stuff. Not a bad class, or professor. Definately knew her stuff, and brought in powerpoint stuff for visuals to add to lectures. Reading quizzes are easy, you can pass them all by reading the review on the back of the book. This class was awesome--interesting lectures with some great reading. She thoroughly knows her stuff, like all the other history profs at NU, and is easy to approach if you need any help. She really knows her subject, but the lectures are a bit long, taking notes is a very good way to pay attention so try that. This professor makes the class interesting and she knows a lot about the subject. Nice and helpful. You learn a lot from the readings and her lectures.
