One of the best professors I've had! Professor Guha is very kind and approachable which was huge for me as a freshman in my first semester. He's very knowledgable and is always willing to help. Also a great lecturer. Coursework wasn't so bad but did require a decent amount of workCS2500 2025-02-06 00:38:45 +0000 UTC
Arjun is a good guy who cares a lot about what he's teaching and the students' success. His lectures can be somewhat shaky at times. He's very fair and considerate and wants his students to succeed.CS2500 2024-06-19 18:05:12 +0000 UTC
Professor Guha was great at dealing with issues in this class. I had an issue with a lab partner and he resolved it quickly. Though the homework and exams were graded pretty toughly, that was due to the rubric of this class more so than Guha himself. Though his lectures left something to be desired, he was definitely the best option for fundies1.CS2500 2024-01-09 23:26:10 +0000 UTC
Arjun is a god. He gives paper practice exam problems all the time in class (often they are harder than the exam itself so don't stress too much if one is particularly hard to understand) and he loves to answer questions. Hilariously sassy too.CS2500 2023-12-07 03:33:19 +0000 UTC
Professor Arjun has possibly become my favorite professor at Northeastern, so far. He's very engaging in his lectures; he's funny, attentive, and caring. If someone has a question, he does his best to answer it in a way they understand, and he actually gives enough time for people to ask questions, unlike some other professors. Highly recommend.CS2500 2023-11-05 22:37:32 +0000 UTC
The Best professor in CS 2500 for 23 Fall!CS2500 2023-10-12 19:12:25 +0000 UTC
Stopped going to Patterson's lectures to go here and learned so much. Loves how he literally gives practice questions during lectures and gives students time to work w/ each other on the code he wrote. Very interactive space and he's very engaging to listen to.CS2500 2023-10-12 16:42:17 +0000 UTC
Very caring professor, the explanations of each concept is clear and understandable.CS2500 2023-09-17 04:02:04 +0000 UTC
Arjun was one of the best professors I've had at Northeastern so far. His lectures were funny and I always went to them, even though attendance wasn't required. His lectures can seem unrelated to the homework at times, but you will appreciate them at the end of the course. Will often explicitly write code during office hours -- extremely helpful!CS2500 2023-04-13 02:17:56 +0000 UTC
His lectures were good, but if you didn't review the material beforehand it could be very difficult. But yes, it's also a weeder intro CS class, so don't expect it to be easy. He was amazing considering the difficulty of the class. Still, many students didn't come to class and used the recorded lectures (that were great) made by Prof. Derbinsky.CS2500 2022-01-19 03:42:38 +0000 UTC
Such a good teacher, class also had recorded video lectures which were helpful. However, even if you learn a lot you can still end with a less than amazing grade.CS2500 2021-11-16 00:43:44 +0000 UTC
Arjun is awesome. He is so knowledgeable (granted you are willing to go beyond the topics covered in class) and will help you solve any issues. He has a very good humor that gets you engaged into the lecture. Also, He responds to email in minutes. Would take him again in any class.CS2500 2021-11-10 19:39:48 +0000 UTC
Loved taking fundies 1 with Arjun. I feel that regardless of your level of comp sci knowledge before the class, you can come out confident about the material.CS2500 2021-04-20 02:28:48 +0000 UTC
Great guy. Has a great sense of humor and cared about his student's success. His live coding style was helpful. He is responsive to feedback and a fair grader.CS2500 2021-04-14 23:48:45 +0000 UTC
