If you struggle with calculus please do yourself a favor and get a different teacher. While I have done well in the course, it's because of the book-- not him. If you do decide to take it with him, get the solutions manual- it's a big help.CALC1252 2012-11-11 10:32:17 +0000 UTC
I used to despise math until having this guy as a teacher! He is extremely witty and not afraid to put smart ass students on their places! His lectures are helpful, but doing the homework really helps! He is very lenient with grades and is always willing to help !MAT1252 2012-04-07 10:46:58 +0000 UTC
probably the worst math teacher I've had thus far. overcomplicates the simplest of problems, cuts students off when they try to ask him questions, gets angry with students when they dont understand the material. i wouldn't recommend him to anyone.MATH1252 2011-04-12 00:32:47 +0000 UTC
Gets very excited about the subjects he teaches. Cares about his students.MTH433 2009-08-12 14:10:36 +0000 UTC
This guy is so completely awesome. He is really old and crazy, but really cares about his students. He has an analogy for EVERYTHING. He will yell sometimes if its important and its all in fun. I would highly recommend taking a class with him before he retires.MTHLALG 2009-03-20 10:32:38 +0000 UTC
Hajian is the fu**** man. He will occasionally bark at you and threaten you with the importance of homework but his class is easy and his exams are a joke. All the retards blame him and say he doesn't teach...I mean its math, wut do you expect. Got an A in his class.MTH142 2009-01-08 22:09:40 +0000 UTC
I would never ever EVER recommend this teacher to anyone else. His lectures are incomprehensible, and he does zero examples on the board. When a student convinces him to do a problem out on the board, he will rarely finish it to completion and makes numerous errors. The only reason I passed was because I went to Prof Lindhe everyday after class.MTH152 2008-12-21 22:53:54 +0000 UTC
Pretty difficult to understand. Does not teach material, just does homework problems on the board. easy grader but the only thing you will learn in his class comes right from the book.MTHU141 2008-06-11 21:44:30 +0000 UTC
They never made themselves available for extra help and never taught the appropriate material in class.MTHU241 2008-01-03 18:50:05 +0000 UTC
LINEAR ALG! strong accent, makes lots of mistakes, sometimes is wishy washy with teaching so you have to teach yourself, but its not tough material. hes an easy grader, and is always available for office hours. grading: ~60% tests + ~40% final (no midterm)MTHU371 2007-07-24 19:47:16 +0000 UTC
Slight accent. Not as bad as most mth profs. Sense of humor. Very old guy. Takes it personal if you don't do the homework. Gives lots of quizes but they are fairly easy and right from the homework, but not open book test. He also will scale the final to be worth more if it helps your grade. He's alot better than most mth profs I've had at NEU.MTH302 2006-09-06 21:46:43 +0000 UTC
Strong accent, but very funny. When he makes jokes most of the time he can't be understood, which actually makes them funny. His weekly tests are not that difficult, just do the homework most of the questions come from the assigned work. Don't worry about the final, the math dept is easy.MTH101 2006-08-22 23:12:48 +0000 UTC
He is wicked old and makes many mistakes, and openly admits that he is not very good at stats. The class is wicked easy though, I got an A without ever studying.PROBSTATS 2005-09-21 17:46:31 +0000 UTC
He's a real interesting guy and teaches very well although his strong accent and absent-mindedness (he's ooooold) gets in the way sometimes. Unfortunately so much that I am supposed to have an A in his class and he gave me an A-, I'm STILL trying to get in contact w/ him and it's been months.BIOCALC2 2005-07-18 09:40:08 +0000 UTC
OLD guy, pretty thick accent but very lenient grader. Once you get the notation down you'll understand the stuff much better. Definitely do the homework, really helps so much. Weekly quizzes, not bad. Stuff on BB is amazingly helpful and if the grader for the quizzes (out of 10) is tough he'll divide your grade by 10, take square root and x by 10MATH1252 2010-12-15 16:08:31 +0000 UTC
