One of the most caring profs I've had. Such a nice and understanding guy. Class was super easy and he's excited to teach. If you put in a tiny effort he'll reward you a ton! 10/10 great guyENGW1111 2021-05-05 01:58:38 +0000 UTC
Great guy. Cares a lot about the students especially during COVID. As an STEM major I hated writing but I certainly did not dread this class. Gives lots of good feedback and for us only had 3 papers and one book to read so not a ton of work either.ENGW1111 2020-11-20 13:36:40 +0000 UTC
I was dreading first year writing but Prof Machlin made it one of my favorite classes. He graded things very clearly and generously with tons of feedback. He also gave a lot of freedom to students in choosing their essay topics. The few required readings were very interesting and if you have to take fyw I would HIGHLY recommend you take it with himENGW1111 2020-07-11 05:45:36 +0000 UTC
