Professor Burke was a good professor. Her lectures were really detailed and she was specific in the drugs that you needed to know for her pharm exams. My only problem with professor Burke was her personality- one second, she could really care about us then another second she's angry and going off for no reason. Professor Burke is actually a joke and should be let go. She released a study guide for the first exam that ended up being the actual test, so we had to throw that grade away, making the rest of our tests worth more. Cheryl Burke released an exam as a study guide that messed up the grade waiting for the class and told a student to switch majors because of a sim lab. She also did not consult the other teacher for the class on giving points back and then told us not to share with the other section of the class the points she gave us. I highly recommend choosing Burke as your professor! She is extremely intelligent and you can tell she's passionate about what she teaches. Her lectures are heavy but she does her best to explain them and gives real life examples to help us understand better. Cheryl is really great at explaining concepts in lecture and communicates clearly what will be on the exams. No homework or barely any, exams are generally fair, and she brings her dog Tucker in sometimes. One of, if not the best professors I have had during my time at Northeastern. She is extremely passionate about the class and her students. She takes the time to breakdown and explain the topics, so you understand rather than memorize the material. I love this woman. She is the only reason we made it through the spring semester with our sanity. She knows her stuff, cares about her students and simply goes above and beyond.
