Dr. Mayville is by far my favorite professor/teacher I have ever had in my academic career. She is passionate about the material, incredibly knowledge, kind, funny and ACCOMPLISHED (this woman's career is impressive). The class is challenging/tests aren't easy, but engage with the material/practice NCLEX application based questions you'll be okay.NRSG3302 2022-04-09 17:03:45 +0000 UTC
BEST TEACHER IN BOUVE!!! Need to go to class, take thorough notes, and ask questions if you don't understand. Highly recommend text (and need it for online quizzes).NURS101 2012-01-08 19:46:23 +0000 UTC

Mayville takes great pleasure in watching her students struggle with the material. Shes only teaching to protect her fragile ego. She knows the material but also thinks she is the goddess of maternity nursing and cannot be proven wrong. Her exams are unfair. Class still haunts me after its over.NRSG3302 2020-08-29 00:01:43 +0000 UTC
This was a once a week THREE hour long class that was brutal. The material should have been straight forward the content became so difficult. The lecture order did not make any sense and even if you knew the exam information, she purposefully tries to trick you. She clearly does not want her students to do well and honestly is not respectfulNRSG3302 2020-04-17 19:49:32 +0000 UTC
Dr. Mayville made our lives 100x harder with the transition to online classes due to COVID-19. On weeks we had other tests and assignments, she gave us PAGES of clinical work due at midnight that night, leaving no time for us to study. She has been very inconsiderate given the situation, and her exams are very unfair.NRSG3302 2020-04-16 23:01:38 +0000 UTC
I wish I had the words to express how angry she makes me. she's just so mean I don't understand--like who hurt you?NRSG3302 2020-04-16 22:04:13 +0000 UTC
Just took the final exam and it was the most unfair test I've ever seen in my life. We never covered so much material on it. Believe the hype; she really seems to want to tank GPAs. Truly the worst, most unfair, condescending professor I've ever encountered. She makes me not want to pursue nursing and I will NEVER go into any mother-baby field.NRSG3302 2020-04-16 16:41:43 +0000 UTC
Be prepared to be treated with no respect or empathy. She purposely makes this material difficult and dreadful. An 82 is a good grade on the first ("easiest") exam and it frustrates her if your class average is higher. The homework is irrelevant busy work and her outlines don't help. It's shocking that someone so condescending is a nurse.NRSG3302 2020-04-15 22:13:11 +0000 UTC
Mayville is not accommodating nor supportive of her students at all. She loves to keep her students busy with pointless work even when there is a literal pandemic outside.NRSG3302 2020-04-10 02:36:54 +0000 UTC
Mayville is not considerate and does not understand her students. Her tests are difficult and will make you work. She is unprofessional and rude!NRSG3302 2020-04-10 02:08:19 +0000 UTC
She is one of the worst professors. I have had. she's extremely rude and she genuinely does not want students to do well. and don't get me started on her inflated ego. She loves busy work and makes the tests very difficult.NRSG3302 2020-04-09 02:02:04 +0000 UTC
Mayville is an extremely knowledgeable professor. That being said, her class is hard. You will have to work for your grade. The tests are hard, but following her lectures is easy! The content is interesting and she presents the information enthusiastically. You will have online quizzes and homework, but that's about it besides studying for exams.NRSG3302 2019-11-07 06:19:31 +0000 UTC
Dr. Mayville is an amazing professor! her love for what she teaches really shows in her lectures and wow, do you learn a lot! She is so knowledgable and pretty much any question you ask about the material, she will know the answer to. Her tests are very difficult; however, really do prepare you for the NCLEX and clinical. I loved taking her class.NRSG3302 2019-08-05 20:24:49 +0000 UTC
Dr. Mayville is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The class is difficult but she is willing to help you if you reach out.NRSG3302 2015-04-13 12:10:45 +0000 UTC
