over half my class withdrew because of how badly we all did. all he does is lecture and lecture, so boring, and his texts were impossible.MATH2321 2025-12-08 20:29:48 +0000 UTC
This is the hardest class Ive taken and it did not help that I had this professor. He grades so harshly, he makes it so hard to pay attention in class. He goes through problems without explaining them, expecting you to read his mind on steps that he did in his head. There are quizzes the day before exams, and there are multiple exams. Not a fan.MATH2321 2025-11-20 18:43:47 +0000 UTC
The least time I spent on a homework for the class was 6 hours. There are so many problems and they dont reflect what is on the exams. The class is so boring and he speaks in a monotone voice. It is hard to pay attention.MATH2321 2025-11-20 18:41:22 +0000 UTC
This professor is so boring. He puts the entire class to sleep during lectures and does not prepare anyone for the exams. The exams are very hard and worth too much of your final grade.MATH2321 2025-11-20 18:39:21 +0000 UTC
This professor is such a hard grader and not a good lecturer in general. He gives quizzes the day before exams and there are multiple exams throughout the semester. He doesn't curve and he should because the class averages are always near failing.MATH2321 2025-11-20 18:37:32 +0000 UTC
He grades so strictly that it is very hard to receive full points. It's wonderful when he shows the average, and it is a 6.2 out of 10. The worst part about this course is that he assigns quizzes the day before an exam. I wish I were kidding. If he has no haters, I am dead. The 1st exam had a 65 percent average, and he did not curve at all.MATH2321 2025-11-20 17:59:49 +0000 UTC
Just save yourself the trouble and take a different prof. He was rated quite well so I was thouroughly dissapointed. He just speeds through a lecture on the board never turning to the class. He doesn't explain the steps to what he is doing. Additionally, only section that doesn't allow its students to have cheat sheets.MATH2321 2025-11-18 23:08:22 +0000 UTC
There are weekly quizzes in this class that are nice because they are directly from the homework problems. Around 5 hours of homework every week. The exams are nothing like the homework. If you don't go to lecture you're pretty much screwed, as no notes are posted and goes very fast in class.MATH2321 2025-11-12 23:25:32 +0000 UTC
I had him for Calc. 3 and he was far superior to any other NEU math professor that I have encountered. It's true that the tests are difficult but that is simply because it is a hard class. He curves every exam, and helps you to review for big exams like the final by providing tons of resources.MATH2321 2017-12-07 13:45:50 +0000 UTC
His teaches a lot and the quiz is easy, since it is exactly the same as the problems on textbook. However, the exam is hard, and much different from the textbook problems. But the exam review is helpful. The good things is he will curve the grade. Generally a good experience in his class.MATH2321 2016-01-16 05:54:49 +0000 UTC
Learned a huge amount, but the tests are very difficult. Much harder than the quizzes. The tests are curved though.MATH2321 2015-12-08 22:41:44 +0000 UTC
I had high hopes coming into this class, as he was rating quite high on ratemyprof and on myneu. However, Beasley's teaching fell way short. He talks to the board and writes very fast, zipping through topics and not fully explaining things. He doesn't tell you the important things you should know and his tests are SUPER hard. Overall, very poor.MATH2321 2015-10-24 00:31:14 +0000 UTC
Chris talks very fast in class and is hard to get all the notes down before he erases the board. There are quizzes once a week on homework. Now for the tests. His tests are impossible and unfair. I used my two of my friends midterms from another clases and it was nothing like them; exponentially harder. On top of that, the average was failing.MATH2321 2015-10-22 10:29:30 +0000 UTC
Chris is awesome! His lectures are very clear and he does a good job of explaining the material. The HW quizzes are a grade saver! He curves his tests usually, which is very fair. Make sure to go to his office hours - they are very helpful!MATH2321 2014-11-20 17:55:56 +0000 UTC
