He says the same stories over and over again, any help you ask for will be super ambiguous so you have to figure it out yourself. He's a stickler for grammar so beware. The best advice I can give you is to make a study group or find people you can talk to.ORGB3201 2021-08-27 02:24:22 +0000 UTC
You don't want to be late to his lectures because he is taking attendance at the very beginning and if you are late - you are not in class. A lot of pop up quizzes throughout the semester. All of them based on reading and in-class lectures. Participation matters a lot. Be involved in discussions, ask questions, express your opinion.ORGB3209 2018-11-15 13:22:39 +0000 UTC
This class was one of the best Ive taken at NU. Chris has personal anecdotes which made the class understandable, and we had awesome discussions about co-ops which kept things relevant. The pop quizzes are on the readings, and easy if you read the chapters. He is professional in that he doesnt coddle you on assignments, just gives you the goal.ORGB3201 2019-08-16 02:16:23 +0000 UTC
do not take him if you care about your GPA or want to learn something. extremely unclear about how he grades assignments or what he wants. papers submitted in January won't get graded until mid April, no constructive feedback eitherORGB3201 2019-04-02 23:25:25 +0000 UTC
Class is useless, it's just hours and hours of personal anecdotes without ever making a point. But attendance is required and important. Constant pop quizzes on material he hasn't taught yet. Takes forever to grade. Does not make clear requirements for papers and presentations, you have no idea what he's looking for in assignments. AVOID this profORGB3201 2019-04-01 14:18:29 +0000 UTC
Harsh grader. LOVES TO TALK ABOUT HIMSELF so much that half the lecture is just his personal stories that have no point. Learned nothing from him all semester. Please avoid at all cost.ORGB3201 2019-04-01 12:18:34 +0000 UTC
hes a nice guy but its such a useless class. hes extremely harsh at grading essays and the final paper is a nightmare to write. make sure u attend every single class participate A LOT and read the syllabus 5 times to make sure u dont get points taken off for stupid things. every point will count and also his lectures are story-heavy w/o substanceORGB3201 2018-12-14 08:51:17 +0000 UTC
Very knowledgeable about Org. Behavior and often gives his own anecdotes; he loves to talk about himself. He is not flexible with deadlines or missing class, even under extreme circumstances. I found his grading harsh & at times, unfair. You must go to class and there are pop quizzes. If possible, avoid taking him for orgb as he is a hard professorORGB3201 2018-04-28 17:44:34 +0000 UTC
Professor King is really nice and gives really interesting lectures from time to time about his own personal experiences. There are pop quizzes which are fairly manageable. There is no regular homework, only a few papers and a presentation and a long paper at the end with no final exam. As long as you participate it should be fine.ORGB3201 2018-04-08 23:56:35 +0000 UTC
had his for Org B. overall solid experience. he's pretty easy if you read the book and are ready for pop quizzes. other than that just one group proj and group paper and one final 10-12 page paper at the end. he's funny and keeps the mood light. participation and showing up to class is worth 25% of your grade.ORGB3201 2017-05-14 21:21:57 +0000 UTC
