Professor Monje is a super nice guy, but his class could have been more engaging. Class consists of lectures, which tend to be wandering and aimless, followed by a bit of weekly homework. David is a very nice guy...sometimes he came to class a little unprepared but he is also a new father so perhaps he's having trouble juggling everything. Very liberal.. not a bad thing. I am in shock he is still teaching. Showed up late, careless about lectures, most boring lectures ever, SO unclear with everything, hard grader. He seemed sooo uninterested in the class I wondered why I was ever there. I went to ask him for help & he was rude & useless. Monje is a great guy, very knowledgable in both the theory and application of filmmaking. It's a bit hectic to take this course in the summer because there's little time to shoot between classes but Monje is understanding and will excuse you from class if you need to shoot something. He's a very bright man who knows what he's talking about and he makes class as fun as possible each time we meet. Aewesome prof. Really truly cares about how well you do. Extremely helpful during office hours. Awesome at giving feedback and giving examples for papers.
