If you take Public Speaking at NU, take it with Karen. She has been teaching for a while and knows what she is talking about. She cares a lot about her students but would get easily flustered if you do not respect her. She is fun in class and loves participation. I LOVE this class. Karen is very passionate about what she does and it shows. Her 90 minute class goes by so fast because she changes it up. You're guaranteed to meet new people and work with beyond the classmates sitting near you. she was hands down the best and most enspiring teacher i have ever had, she treats the students with huge amount of respect and is willing to get down on their level. she is very understanding and really wants her students to do well. i would recoment her to any student, she is a great teacher, you learn a lot and she is an easy A. Karen is an amazing professor! All positive atmosphere around her, all the time, and very relaxed as well. Have never been bored at her lectures. Karen is one of the coolest teachers I've ever had. Not only is she passionate about what she teaches, but she's a really wonderful person that only wants you to succeed. Karen is awesome. Definately my favorite professor so far. The class was like a family after the first day she just made us feel comfortable. And she likes to joke around, is really outgoing, and even though I wasnt into having to take a public speaking class before I started, now I love it. IPC-MCPHS I would definitely recommend her! Her class is fun and lectures help with the material. While she does give weekly hw, it's very easy and fast and as long as you follow her instructions, you get full points.
