sweet guy. class was really easy and i had never taken calc before. he gives you a template of all the quizzes and exams ahead of time in the review packet. same types of questions just different numbers. his explanations aren't that good, he takes it more in depth than it needs to be. never checked homework. dont bother buying a text bookMATH1231 2009-12-05 21:02:41 +0000 UTC
Okay professor. Doesn't check homework and the quizzes are just like the practice quizzes. Midterm easier than the quizzes. Sometimes doesn't explain things well, but overall a decent teacher. Take my word for it - I never took calc before this course and I aced every quiz and test. D. King does a good job and is always available for extra help. Sometimes he can be a bit confusing but it always clicked before the quiz. Took calc in high school so it was interesting to see his confusing way of teaching. Smart guy, but has trouble relaying that information to his students. really picky about labeling, i got a B grade on a quiz in which i didn't get a question wrong.Takes off points for everything. on the plus side the quizzes and project are simple and not tricky.CALC101 2008-07-27 23:49:53 +0000 UTC
He is a very nice person, but simply cannot teach. He certainly knows his stuff, but has a very hard time relating to the student, providing examples, and answering questions. The quizzes and tests are the exact same thing in the packet only with the numbers changed. Such an easy class if you have had calc before!!! Took it last fall(05). EASY A. All you have to do is know how to do the problems on the "practice quizzes" and a lot of the quiz questions will be the same question with different numbers. And do the little project he has you do.
