He is constantly going on off-topic rants, and he will NEVER learn your name. Dont get me wrong, he's a nice guy, but unless youre ready for a strong-minded MAGA math teacher, watch your back cuz youre gonna hate him. I know I do. Funny guy, extremely honest and sometimes his comments feel rude, he is not trying to be rude (constructive criticism). Very disorganized in class but if you go separate for his help its better. Funny guy but not the best at teaching. His handwriting is messy and disorganized and he lectures a lot with his back to the class, leaving little room for questions. He called out students mistakes in front of the class, which made an uncomfortable learning environment. Prof wants everyone to succeed. Clearly outlines all quizzes and exams, gives old midterms as practice problems, and does plenty of examples. As long as you go to class, you will do well. This is a hard course, even if you took Calc 2 last year. He can be difficult to understand at times and moves very quickly. However, he will answer your questions and is VERY helpful during office hours. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, which can come off as rude, but he doesn't mean it in that way. If you already know calculus, this class is very easy. If you're new to calc, the professor may be challenging because his teaching isn't very clear. Attendance isn't necessary, but keep track of test and quiz dates. He can be a picky grader. He always tells you exactly what q's will be on test+quiz. Great prof who really wants you to learn. Not for very sensitive students, but if you can handle a bit of pressure he's awesome.
