Im here to defend her, shes just a silly middle aged woman. if uve taken calc before this class will be chill but do not take her class if uve never seen derivitives in ur life, she will make ur calc experience very unfortunate. but if u do the hw and go up to the board for extra credit its fairly easy to get a good grade.MATH1341 2025-12-31 16:46:14 +0000 UTC
Just spits out textbook definitions on the board, then does examples where she skips steps. Very hard to follow and understand in class, especially since her handwriting sucks. If you ask a question or clarification, she will belittle you. Quizzes are nothing like the hw or examples and she truly does not care about helping you succeed.MATH2341 2025-12-19 19:30:38 +0000 UTC
Created one of the worst learning environments I have ever encountered. Shockingly rude to students in class asking questions, moves WAY too quickly through material. I think she assumes students learn the material on their own and then attend class to revise, as she does not teach any material and rewrites her past notes on chapters on the board.MATH2321 2025-12-05 16:54:25 +0000 UTC
This is genuinely the only review I've written but I needed to come and say: DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She is terrible. She messed up my make-up final (I had a time conflict), making me lose 20 minutes of time. She doesn't explain anything and expects you to simply connect the dots by yourself. Thinks her class is the most important thing ever.MATH1342 2025-11-19 07:16:52 +0000 UTC
Rushes through all lectures and gives weekly quizzes. Mandatory graded homework. Strict grader of all quizzes and tests. Horrible at teaching, you are better off self studying. Bad attitude as well and will berate students in person and over email. Avoid at all costs1342MATH 2025-03-31 13:38:03 +0000 UTC
Avoid at all cost. Homework questions are nothing like test questions, lectures do not prepare you adequately for tests and quizzes. Inadequate resources for quizzes and tests provided.MATH3081 2024-10-24 20:51:20 +0000 UTC
Get ready to learn off lecture notes & videos. Lectures are boring & bad. Terrible prof who doesn't care about students at all. Don't know why this person is a professor, stay a researcher if you can't teach or care for students, choose a different field. Sometimes brings attitude to students. On top of all that, tough grader for such mid lectures.MATH1260 2024-05-18 17:41:16 +0000 UTC
Do NOT take this professor unless you are already very strong in math. The class moves extremely fast and feels geared toward students who took AP Calc, not beginners Plus, her Office hours are only available on Tuesdays, which didn't help at all. If you're new to calculus, I strongly recommend choosing a different professor.MATH1341 2025-12-18 02:25:41 +0000 UTC
Worst "Professor" I have ever met in my entire life. RUN. She doesnt care about her students. She just copies the textbook on the board. She is NOT a teacher. Petition for Northeastern to access the quality of teaching.MATH2341 2025-12-17 18:21:38 +0000 UTC
She writes the textbook on the board. That's it. She doesn't really do much more to help you understand it, and she is a little bit hostile towards questions. It's not impossible to learn under her, but you better already have a great grasp of mathematics. Her grading is actually pretty lenient and she gives extra credit so it's not hard to do a B.MATH2321 2025-11-20 22:26:28 +0000 UTC
I cannot emphasize enough that you should avoid taking this course with this professor. Transfer to a different professor if you value your GPA/grade in this class at all. I got a B in this class while being well above average on all of the exams. Based on the exams the average grade in the class was a 74-75. No scale or curve on anything. AVOID.MATH1342 2025-05-06 04:02:18 +0000 UTC
Her explanations are not very clear and keeps beating around the bush, which exhibit her lack of proper knowledge of the subject she's teachings. All she does is write on the board from the notes that she carries. Very rarely answers question of students properly. Students generally depend on learning from the text book. Very confusing lectures.1342MATH 2018-08-25 01:53:47 +0000 UTC
Dr. Wilson is very knowledgeable. Lectures and class expectations are clear, but she is inaccessible outside of class and unreceptive to student feedback. I struggled in this class because the exams were significantly harder than homework & lecture examples, students were expected to fend for themselves. I would not recommend taking her class.MATH3081 2023-12-18 17:36:00 +0000 UTC
Great first impression when she showed up late to the first day and immediately started speed writing on the board (as she does every lecture, copying from old repeated lecture notes). Pay full attention as she's superspeeding or you'll miss the concept. Sometimes moody and rude. Lucky she has a YouTube of her old Zoom meetings so u can self studyMATH1260 2024-04-12 17:20:50 +0000 UTC
Holy yap bro my grandma can explain a basic derivative better than good ol Elizabeth Wilson. Truly, I say you can sleep in class and learn just as much because it will be NOTHING. Notes and examples? Forget about it! You will spend more time deciphering this ancient language than learning. For my final trick, she will make your emails disappear!MATH1341 2025-12-06 02:35:17 +0000 UTC
