TRUST. He's the oneMISM2510 2025-12-10 03:11:19 +0000 UTC
Professor Bogert is one of the funniest professors out there. I really enjoyed his class. You can tell he's really loves data viz! Don't understand why he has such a low rating here, but I think those students are the ones who never show up to class and clearly don't pay attention to what's going on! Highly recommend taking his class especiallyMISM3501 2025-12-08 20:48:58 +0000 UTC
This course has a reputation for being tough, and I believe that depends on the student's background. Those comfortable with data and can learn software (Tableau) fast will do well, while the opposite is also true. Prof. and TAs want you to be successful & go out of their way to offer help.I loved this class, but understand why some find it hard.MISM6210 2025-08-04 14:50:26 +0000 UTC
Avoid at all costs, impossible to understand any of the material, way more advanced than what it is supposed to be. Does not take into account people with no experience in Computer Science. It will just make your semester hellMISM2301 2022-12-14 18:31:48 +0000 UTC
Lectures and provided class materials are pretty useful even though attendance isnt mandatory. Cold calling is a bit scary at first but it honestly helps you stay on top of stuff and is super chill (mostly to get people to follow along). Homeworks are fair and easy to complete. Overall nice profMISM2510 2025-12-09 08:36:21 +0000 UTC
Doesn't properly teach how to use Tableau, just expects you to know everything off the bat even though he made us install it for the 1st time. Super biased to his own tastes when grading assignments, if you use a color he doesnt like,he'll mark you down.Assignment criteria is terribly unclear and with the lack of actual teaching makes the class hellMISM3501 2025-04-08 22:53:38 +0000 UTC
Harsh grader with no guidance. Expects you to know everything, and will not explain or help you on things when you're confused. His assignments are hard, and are not clear. He flys through all his lectures, which makes it hard to follow and understand what is going on.MISM2301 2022-10-18 22:12:44 +0000 UTC
This is definitely a tough class if you have no experience in Excel or coding. Lectures are pretty fast-paced but Professor Bogert is very easy-going and will answer any question. Attendance is not mandatory, but I don't recommend skipping. If you go to class, pay attention, and do some light reading of materials on canvas, then you'll be fine.MISM2510 2025-12-08 17:03:22 +0000 UTC
I would say I was shocked by how many low rating scores he has, but I'm not after seeing how many people don't show up to his class and then expect to do well on exams. Bro literally makes it so easy for us, if you actually show up to class, he tells you past test questions (that more often than not show up on the test). Just show up, he is chill.MISM3501 2025-04-06 17:27:34 +0000 UTC
Lectures will put you to sleepMISM2301 2022-04-07 19:50:56 +0000 UTC
Idk why bogert has such a low rating, pretty sure the ppl that dislike him r fully just haters. Hes super clear about expectations from the start, the avg grades r pretty high, just PAY ATTENTION in class and youll succeed. Its not easy, but you learn a lot. Hes strict ab small things, but its js to prevent cheating. Love this prof, hes a GMISM2510 2025-12-07 15:58:09 +0000 UTC
I'm shocked that Prof Bogert doesn't have a higher rating. To be fair, his assignments & exams were pretty difficult. However, if you put in the effort, the class was very fun and enjoyable. He always came prepared and is truly knowledgable about what he teaches. He also really cares about the students and just wants to see you perform your best.MISM3501 2024-12-10 02:41:26 +0000 UTC
Class time is exclusively spent on lectures and he is a very tough grader. Is reluctant to answer questions about the case studies or tests due to potential academic dishonesty, and takes participation so seriously that he'll stand there and wait until someone who hasn't talked yet raises their hand to answer a question.MISM2301 2021-12-22 15:44:04 +0000 UTC
Great professor, if you pay attention in class and study, the exams go very smoothly. Cares about his students' success and was very helpful. MISM2510 was really helpful in getting better at Excel and SQL (even Python), so this class was really useful for future careers in finance/business. Highly recommend taking any class with Professor Bogert.MISM2510 2025-12-07 00:59:38 +0000 UTC
Bogert is actually the worst professor I've ever experienced. His lectures are extremely dry and boring and his exams are unecessarily specific. His grading on assignments and projects is very harsh and you have to make dashboards to the way he likes them rather than what might look good to you or others. Don't waste your money and time on him.MISM3501 2024-10-25 16:43:02 +0000 UTC
