Don't take this professor.CS4120 2025-05-29 19:35:45 +0000 UTC
Class is super easy. 6 HW assignments make up 75% of your grade and 2 exams are the other 25%. Lectures are not mandatory and are incredibly boring. Notes are posted after lecture.DS2000 2025-04-12 16:36:24 +0000 UTC
I loved this class! Prof Muzny is dedicated to teaching and had some of the most thorough lectures (and notes which are really helpful and I still reference). The projects and homework are challenging but not unreasonable. Def have to listen to lectures.CS4120 2024-03-28 05:51:52 +0000 UTC
Super easy professor, optional lectures but if you go they are pretty fun. Very easy class, only 6 HW assignments the entire semester and class is optional. He allows HW regrades. There is no reason people should not get an A in this class, cool guy and he clearly loves the subject he teaches.DS2000 2024-12-17 05:21:43 +0000 UTC
The class is introductory python and moves at a very manageable pace (like 60% of the class skips class). You'll be completely fine even if you had no previous programming experience, just go to class and pay attention. You can literally bring in a cheatsheet for each test.DS2000 2024-12-16 22:29:58 +0000 UTC
felix is super approachable and caring! he does tend to move quickly when coding, but you don't need to copy every line. this class is beginner friendly. hw assignments are harder than the lectures, but TAs host office hours and don't grade harshly. you get to redo one of the hws for a new grade. this class is not as hard as people are sayingDS2000 2024-12-02 06:01:49 +0000 UTC
Prof. Muzny was kind and I really wanted to learn, however, the class was not great. Lectures rarely ever touched the level of complexity required in the homework, which was very frustrating and stressful. HW got hard too quickly for the level of cryptic instruction we received as a beginner class. Office hours wait times often exceeded an hour.DS2000 2022-12-15 21:41:32 +0000 UTC
Lectures were pretty disorganized, the homework was more difficult than anything covered in lectures and was graded pretty harshly. Fun personality, but not terribly helpful. If you have ever taken a programming course, this class will probably be a breeze for you, but I imagine it's probably pretty unforgiving for someone brand new to the field.DS2000 2022-12-13 21:31:19 +0000 UTC
Professor Muzny is a great professor, he cares about students! He explained concepts clearly. Although homework is not easy, TA OH will help you if you have any questions. He also stayed in the classroom after each lecture to answer questions. He had warm-up questions in each lecture and was helpful to review the previous concept in class.DS2000 2022-12-02 22:38:40 +0000 UTC
The information was difficult, the lectures rushed and unorganized, and the grading awfully particular. This class was my most stressful of the semester. Office hours having an hour-long wait on any day did not help.DS2000 2022-11-28 16:27:28 +0000 UTC
Professor Muzny went really fast and was very hard to follow during the class and made homework assignments way harder than what was taught during the lecture TA OH packed and they're very particular with grading. If you're a new programmer / don't have a strong foundation in coding I don't recommend taking this course with this professor.DS2000 2022-11-18 22:08:38 +0000 UTC
