He is a nice, chill teacher who does a pretty good job teaching hard concepts. He keep class moving, gives lots of help on homework, quizzes, and tests. He wants you to succeed. The class is structured with online video lectures over weekends, lectures on Monday, and *group* hw on Thursday. Go to office hours for help!!MATH3545 2025-12-08 22:20:53 +0000 UTC
He knows his stuff, and quizzes aren't too hard. Tends to overexplain stuff in lectures and they get really get boring. Fell asleep in class a couple of times because of him.MATH1341 2017-11-17 17:36:27 +0000 UTC
Prof lippner was genuinely such a good teacher who knows the course material and truly wants his students to succeed. Advocate for yourself and he'll make himself available to help you. He made a really daunting high level course not just approachable but enjoyable!!MATH3545 2025-12-08 15:20:19 +0000 UTC
Overall, lovely professor, he knows his stuff and has good discussions during class. Class uses textbook as reference, but go to class, you'll know what you need to. HWs can be tough, but half the time in class is just discussing HWs which helps. Modules are very straightforward and the Final was a little hard (no cheatsheet), but otherwise, okay.MATH3545 2024-12-17 07:22:14 +0000 UTC
This professor should have his teaching license revoked. His lectures are useless and his TA does the whole work give the TA his position + he makes tons of mistakes and grades super harshly and does not give sample quiz/exams and does not allow you to have notes during quizzes/exams where 90% of the things that you learn are all theorem based.MATH3545 2023-12-08 21:37:55 +0000 UTC
Amazing prof!!!! Took MATH3545 (graph theory) with him this fall. His grading for this class is very nice (45% hw, 15% easy canvas modules, 20% divided amongst 4 quizzes, 20% final exam), with no midterm. Of the two classes a week, one is an in class homework session, and the other is an insightful lecture. My reason for changing into math.MATH3545 2023-11-28 16:10:21 +0000 UTC
Gabor is kind, relatable, and accessible. Every week, our first class was lecture and our second class was time to work on homework in groups. Quizzes and exam are simple, and focus on ensuring you know concepts well (not overly-difficult proofs). Very helpful during office hours and homework-based classes. Also, Gabor is a funny, good guy.MATH3545 2021-12-21 02:41:40 +0000 UTC
