Good teacherPHSC4502 2019-07-25 23:16:59 +0000 UTC
Goes over lecture material very quickly and does not fully explain material but expects you to know everything on the exam. Asks questions on the exam that he has not gone over. Very stressful class. And he is not accessible outside of class so if you don't understand a topic you are out of luck.PHSC4501 2018-12-01 11:54:22 +0000 UTC

Great guy! Very passionate about teaching and his work. He is a great professor is straight forward notes if actually take the time to read them. This class required effort to do well. Medchem is not an easy subject to learn, but Thakur really does a great job.PHSC4201 2011-08-17 19:45:07 +0000 UTC
Very nice man! He puts so much extra time with review sessions etc to get the students to understand the material and do well on the exams. Very approachable and just a sweet man..ANDDD he repeats almost ALL exam questions from previous years. That's why we all aced his part...repeats them verbadum..if it wasnt for that i might've failed :)PSC501 2008-05-04 11:08:15 +0000 UTC
AMAZING prof. Really dedicated and passionate about making students understand. Takes time out to conduct review sessions HIMSELF, instead of using the TA's. His slides & class presentations were very clear. Just read his notes & listen to him and you're set. Med Chem was super hard with other Prof, but Thakur make it so easy.PSCU501 2006-12-15 10:39:01 +0000 UTC
He is amazing, fair and very helpful! Go to his classes or watch the tegrity and you will be fine. His tests are not easy but you will be fine if you know all the stuff he wants u to know.MEDCHEM 2014-03-30 15:02:35 +0000 UTC
An amazing professor! He makes MedChem extremely interesting and I am constantly engaged, especially during lectures that are almost 2 hours! He really cares about his students and wants them to do well. He offers exam review sessions outside of his class time, study guides, and offers extra credit points on exams as well. 100% would recommend!!!!PHSC4502 2015-08-14 19:17:23 +0000 UTC
He is a great professor overall: he is enthusiastic, and genuinely wants his students to do well in his class. This class is not easy, but if you put in the time and effort into trying to understand the class material after each lecture, then you will do well. His lectures are very clear and straight-forward. Don't forget to study every day !PHSC4501 2015-12-29 08:56:31 +0000 UTC
Thakur is a good guy. This was his first year teaching and he did a pretty damn good job. The only problem I saw wasn't even his fault. The fact that there are like 40 Profs for this course made it so he was rushed but he played like a champion nonetheless. His test questions aren't easy but it is what it is. Plus he has a diesel mustache...PSCU501 2006-12-14 12:50:55 +0000 UTC
Dr. Thakur is a very very good professor. One of my favorites at Northeastern. He teaches a difficult topic (Medicinal Chemistry) but is always there to help his students. Gives review sessions, study guides, ect. Literally does everything he can to help his students. He is extremely nice and approachable. Also responds to emails quickly.PHSC4502 2015-08-14 18:51:08 +0000 UTC

Dr. Thakur is one of the best professors I have ever hard. Medicinal chemistry is a challenging subject. Dr. Thakur manages to explain the concepts clearly and in a concise way. He is extremely nice and helpful. He takes a few hours before exams to review everything.PSCU501 2006-11-19 21:53:10 +0000 UTC
Dr. Thakur is the best professor I had in my three years at NU. MedChem is an inherently tough subject and Dr. Thakur does an incredible job of making it easy and understandable. His lectures, notes, review sessions, study guides, etc all are highly useful. He makes learning as easy as possible! Dr. Thakur is fully worth your tuition money.PHSC4502 2014-08-27 08:47:55 +0000 UTC
