Rough class don't take this as it will actually nuke your gpa. Will make you question your existence. Although Asynchronous class best if you take with another professor in person.3000 2025-12-22 06:32:35 +0000 UTC
FYI: The low ratings on here are from the few students who failed the class and won't be of use to you. Info you want --> There are 4 exams (25% each) and weekly HW is purely for practice. All exams are open-note (take notes from his lecture videos and you'll be well-equipped). Exams are super tough, but he ends up curving the class generously.CS5800 2025-12-12 08:19:09 +0000 UTC
don't take his classes please!! I wish he cared more about getting his student preparing for his EXTREMELY hard exams then just using a bunch of videos from many years ago. The concepts are exciting but I can't say I've walked out of his class learning anything. I felt like i just wasted tuition money, great guy but very bad professor.CS1800 2025-12-05 02:48:58 +0000 UTC
don't listen to people saying this is a good class, 4 exams that's all your grade is nothing he asks on the test is what is on the slides no matter how many notes you take you will not be able to get a good grade for the exams, take any other teacher but him3000 2025-12-20 18:13:16 +0000 UTC
Awful, dont chooseCS5800 2025-11-18 05:36:51 +0000 UTC
CS3000, online algo class. I'm not sure how lecture videos from 2016 are supposed to prepare me for the hardest exams I have ever taken. Your notes will not help in the slightest. Prepare to get 50% at maximum. It does run on bell curve tho, so you probably wont fail. Your gpa is taking a beating tho.CS1800 2025-12-05 00:47:41 +0000 UTC
i got disowned after this class, i can't describe how xxxxx this class is and he is, i would walk into ongoing traffic rather than ever see this man again. i hope he is very happy with all the lives he has ruined. do not take this class3000 2025-12-20 06:40:21 +0000 UTC
DO NOT TAKE HIMCS1800 2025-11-04 15:44:56 +0000 UTC
i genuinely believe he hates students and wants them to suffer, and i did. i will never get back the semester i spent crying over this course. don't take him.3000 2025-12-20 06:34:37 +0000 UTC
intelligent guy but bad prof. recycles lecture recordings, kinda rude/discouraging, makes exams significantly harder than homework or lectures. TAs explicitly say that the exams are made more difficult than examples from class, but he also does not allow exam cheatsheets to have any material from outside of class/slides. 40% curve tho!CS1800 2025-11-03 02:33:51 +0000 UTC
Yes he recycles his lectures, I understand, but he constantly updates his lectures if needed, and he's very accessible to ask questions directly. Best asynchronous course I've taken, challenging but you learn a lot. Tests were creative focusing on actual learning not just "using" what you memorized. Sad to see my favorite professor rated this low.3000 2025-12-18 05:06:51 +0000 UTC
Having an in-depth understanding of summations is huge for this course.CS1800 2025-07-18 03:34:32 +0000 UTC
bro like just don't do it tbh like i thought since it's online it'll be chill NOOOOO the lecture vids r from 2016 and the tests r not related to them at all and he doesn't give u any indication of what's going to be on the test. i stopped looking both ways before crossing the street bc of this class.3000 2025-12-11 19:11:29 +0000 UTC
Don't really know what a good professor could have been for this course, Cauz I took this course in accelerate. But yea it was really difficult for me.CS1800 2025-07-09 08:25:01 +0000 UTC
Yo this jit will nuke ur grade, class is rigged. The exams are so cooked compared to what we learn. Like we're expected to build the burj khalifa using IKEA instructions.3000 2025-12-10 15:39:03 +0000 UTC
