Writing 101. Great energy, and made the time spent in class as tolerable as possible. Spends lots of time explaining assignments in class, but if you don't pay attention or you never go to class, you will be lost. Be ready for time-consuming homework, especially for a MWF class. Cass is an excellent teacher. Classes are relatively informal and discussion based, which he conducts in a way comfortable, not-forced way. He assigns just as much as any other core writing teacher, but he is generally very flexible with due dates. Wonderful teacher! Not only was he understanding but he did not always stick to the schedule if he realized students needed more time to work on their papers. It's always hard to take a summer writing class but Greg made it as enjoyable as possible. Was always available via e-mail or after class to answer questions. Really wants to see students do well. I had Cass for summer 2 AWD... i thought it would be terrible but greg made it very manageable and i didn't hate it. i actually enjoyed it! one thing is, be on time and make it to every class cuz he gets mad when people are constantly late.EDU301 2009-08-21 10:35:56 +0000 UTC

Greg is a great teacher, the papers are actually interesting to write and that class became my favourite one even if it was a 8 am. He is really close to his students and that makes him really interesting, especially his passion for The Office and the thing that we watched a few episodes. Greg is the most helpful teacher i've had so far, i'm an international student so I was worried that my English would be too weak for this course but Greg was always there to help. Feedback is constructive and he is lenient. Be on time, don't write your essays the day before they're due and you'll do well in this class.
