He was fine. Our 4 writing projects were: a podcast, a short "essay", poems, and a reflectional letter. DON'T take him if you want to get better at writing - he graded 3/4 projects in the last week and gave you an A if you're semi-competent. I learned nothing in this class, but attendance is mandatory which lowkey built a funny class community.ENGW1111 2025-12-30 18:57:24 +0000 UTC
I really liked Professor Zuch. He was caring and genuinely seemed interested in what he was teaching. I will say, though, that he doesn't grade assignments in a timely manner. We do have thorough and helpful peer reviews, but it was hard to tell what my grade was throughout the semester.ENGW3307 2025-12-18 16:06:12 +0000 UTC
It was a chill class, take it online if you can.ENGW3315 2025-12-13 00:03:10 +0000 UTC
Every single student got an A minus. If that's your MO, great, but considering the amount of effort I put in in hopes of a regular A, this was absolutely not cool. Nothing was graded until the literal last second - an hour before final grades were due. In a writing class, you need feedback, and even when I asked for some I didn't get any.ENGW3301 2024-08-07 15:08:48 +0000 UTC
He's awesome, very clear about what he wants and expects. Which isn't particularly much to begin with. Real nice guy and he spoon feeds you information.FSEM1000 2015-04-17 15:34:00 +0000 UTC
If you have a chance, take his class! I switched into his class a week into the semester because my old college writing teach was horrible. I've never been a fan of English class but this man really made me learn and get excited about the material. By far the most interesting intro class I've ever had. Highly recommended!!!ENGL1111 2012-03-30 04:30:16 +0000 UTC
Mr. Zuch is a nice and understanding guy. Classes are intellectual and provide insights for paper topics. Had great experience, very understanding and allows paper extensions with a legitimate excuse. Even gave a few classes off during the semster and watched movies!ENG111 2009-11-23 16:00:51 +0000 UTC
Mr. Zuch is the nicest man in the world. He allowed me to turn in several papers late due to printer problems or sickness and he is willing to sit down with you and explain the directions for an assignment again if you don't understand something. He is patient, thoughtful and genuinely cares about his students!ENG101 2008-12-20 13:03:54 +0000 UTC
Mr. Zuch did an excellent job. The class was engaging and dynamic. Multiple trips to the MFA were interesting. There really was not an overwhelming amount of work. We wrote a lot but it is a writing class so it made sense. All in all I enjoyed the course.ENGU111 2008-12-17 12:23:21 +0000 UTC
Makes you think, easy to talk to for help. Very laid back and understanding. Class was fun and interesting. Tends to fall behind. Work isn’t difficult but when everything gets backed up it is a bit overwhelmingENGU101 2007-11-02 13:05:13 +0000 UTC

Pointless. he makes yuo read the dumbest crap and write papers on useless junk. he gave me a U. so i took the class over with another teacher in the summer while having a full time job and 2 other classes, and i got an A-. Prof. Zuch is a waste of timeWRITTING 2006-05-30 14:54:42 +0000 UTC

A very humorous and nice guy. Honestly, what I thought would be my least favorite class turned out to be one of my favorites because he made class fun and interesting. You write CONSTANTLY, but if you express interest in the class, then he'll be more than willing to help you, and I think he considers that when he grades the papers. :)WRITING101 2005-12-20 09:09:56 +0000 UTC
