I found Wang to be a very challenging professor. He would publish his blank notes before class which was helpful, but when filling in the blanks during class, I found his notes to be nearly incomprehensible. When going back over the notes later, I found them impossible to decipher. Having read his other reviews, this may only be the case with 4570.MATH4570 2021-12-22 04:52:05 +0000 UTC
The course was asynchronous and the grade was based on 4 quizzes and 4 exams. His lecture notes were extremely helpful and he provided recorded explanations of them as well. He made difficult linear algebra concepts easily digestible and is also a kind and accessible professor. He really wants to see his students succeed and it showsMATH2331 2020-12-24 17:54:29 +0000 UTC
Great professor! He is a thoughtful grader, and it's clear that he really cares about his students. His lectures are easy to understand and he gives notes for each lesson. He prepares you for exactly what the tests/quizzes will be like, so if you study his notes you will do well.MATH2321 2020-04-30 20:24:11 +0000 UTC
His notes were easy to understand, and he answered questions carefully so that students could understand the concepts fully. Before classes began, he would introduce how the concepts were arrived and why they were important. I feel that it helps me understand why I am learning what I am learning.MATH2331 2020-07-13 05:22:05 +0000 UTC
Nice guy who prepares his students very well for quizzes and tests by telling them exactly what to expect, doesn't give any trick questions. Really wants his students to do well and it shows. Lecture notes are thorough and helpfulMATH2321 2020-04-19 23:06:09 +0000 UTC
Professor He is good at explaining the rationales of each concept. He would even use sticks to visualize the concepts which I found very helpful. Also he would mention how each topic is applied in industry and its usefulness. He is patient and always willing to help when I reach out.MATH2331 2020-03-16 19:11:36 +0000 UTC
Professor Wang is by far one of the best math professors. He prepares students extremely well for quizzes and tests by letting students know specifically what questions will come out. His hands outs are more helpful than the textbook itself.MATH2321 2020-04-16 10:10:24 +0000 UTC
Even though He was sometimes hard to understand, my section had really good in class examples that allowed us to do better on exams than the other sections. I came to his office hours to talk to him about my poor midterm grade and he helped me to do better on the final.MATH2331 2020-01-29 19:30:05 +0000 UTC
