His lecture is great, very straight forward and easy to understand. He also reiterates a lot of the important concepts during class. Took his computer vision class—great deal! You learn computer vision and machine learning basics. Homework is not easy but if you pass the unit tests then you wont get points off. No final tests. Honestly one of the most difficult classes I've taken at Northeastern, I spent a lot of late nights training neural networks and reshaping Numpy arrays. Nonetheless, Professor Jiang is probably one of the most knowledgeable researchers in this field. Prof. Jiang is relatively new, and although he means well he is simply not a good teacher. His explanations are rushed and unclear, his slides are hard to read, and he becomes annoyed and impatient when students do not understand.
