Professor Gronau is one of the best professors I've had, and his class provides a great environment for discussion. He has powerpoints, but most of the class revolves around discussion, and I've genuinely learned a lot from both him and my classmates. Incredible Professor! Extremely lenient even in the asynchronous model! Almost always positive feedback on assignments! There are no tests in this course but a lot of written assignments such as discussion posts, reflections, and 600-800 word essays. Professor Gronau's HIST1215 was very interesting and easy. The class was online and had no synchronous lectures. We instead watched pre-recorded videos, did our reading, and had a bunch of assignments. These assignments were most often discussion boards, but there were a few essays and other things. Prof Gronau is super nice and really loves history. He's very smart and understanding, will be flexible with deadlines and exams. A lot of readings and 3 books throughout the semester.
