Lectures are a bit boring (I'm just not interested in the topics as much) but he's a great teacher. Super nice and is actually interested in the students' lives. Everything is open notes/internet and the final is a group paper. There's one presentation all year but the rest is casual group work.PHTH1260 2025-11-21 19:40:14 +0000 UTC
Dr. Jay gives us group project with real life organization who needs project management help. Sometimes, the company is looking for hands for their clinical trial based projects/data analysis projects and HINF 6215 students are there to help these organization by working together to solve real life problems related to Project Management (PM).HINF6215 2019-08-20 14:21:28 +0000 UTC
he was just the best class was very enjoyable and the topics are closely related with whats happening in the world today I just loved being in that lecturePHTH1260 2025-01-15 20:49:59 +0000 UTC
So so kind and passionate about what he's teaching. Midterm was open internet, final was a group essay. Participation isn't required, neither is attendance, but most people go because he's so nice. Only thing is you don't need the textbook at all.PHTH1260 2024-12-11 21:18:00 +0000 UTC
Professor Spitulnik is by far the sweetest person I have ever met. He is extremely passionate about his job and loves talking about his very own experience in healthcare. I love Professor Spitnulnik so much and would take this class in a heartbeat. He loves talking to his students. I cannot recommend him enough, he is so caring.PHTH1260 2024-12-04 21:38:43 +0000 UTC
he was the most laid back professor I had. attendance was not mandatory, but participation was encouraged. some people went the whole semester without participating. only one midterm, open EVERYTHING (even google). a final paper and a presentation but it should be easy as long as you know what you're saying. 1000/10 I recommend!!PHTH1260 2024-12-04 20:25:22 +0000 UTC
He gives personal examples of the topics you learn about in class, to help you better understand the topic. You do 2 big group projects, but you're allowed to pick your group members. The midterm is open everything, this even includes the internet. The final is a 12-14 page, but you work on it in your groups. You should definitely take his class!PHTH1260 2024-11-21 22:54:02 +0000 UTC
He is a really great guy, easy A if you just participate. All assignments are in groups and they all get 100's. Midterm is online and open note/can use internet. The lowest exam score for my class was like a 90. Final is a 12-14 page paper that you work on in groups of three so its not much work, better than an exam. Take him if you can.PHTH1260 2023-12-12 17:44:01 +0000 UTC
A king. He truly cares about not only what he teaches, but his students. His lectures are super long, but you can't help but admire his work. He is so sweet. You will learn healthcare for real, and his homework and class work are pretty reasonable.PHTH1260 2022-12-22 01:09:13 +0000 UTC
Prof. Spitulnik is a very nice guy and easy going. There's group work every week, but it's uncomplicated and always graded as 100%. Every class has a presentation lecture which can be boring. Easy A though.PHTH1260 2022-11-29 19:14:15 +0000 UTC
If you're taking American Healthcare Systems I highly recommend taking this Prof! He's so nice and generous. The lectures are quite long but still interesting to listen to. The grading is mostly based on discussion posts and group work and a midterm and final paper, but it is fairly easy to do.PHTH1260 2022-11-17 16:01:26 +0000 UTC
Great professor and very kind, really cares about teaching and his students. His class was very easy and the grades consisted of simple things. Highly recommend taking this course if you can.PHTH1260 2022-11-09 21:07:14 +0000 UTC
Pretty cool dude. Super nice and knows a lot of people through his experience. Material is pretty interesting although his lectures get a bit boring at times. Lots of group work and very manageable coursework with one midterm and one final paper with a few group assignments throughout. By far best option for PHTH 1260.PHTH1260 2022-03-31 19:54:37 +0000 UTC
We did a lot of class discussions but the grading is very light. He is passionate about what he talks about and can explain topics using specific examples which is helpful. The lectures can get long and sometimes a little boring but overall the material is interesting and he is able to explain any questions.PHTH1260 2021-12-08 20:55:21 +0000 UTC
Jay is the best professor ever. So lenient, understanding and gets intimate about his life at times. A very easy A, would take him a million times again. Two papers and some small homeworks along the way, super manageable and content is interesting.PHTH1260 2020-01-08 23:01:54 +0000 UTC
