Don't listen to the snowflakes lol this guy's awesome. Easiest tests known to man. Look at the word doc before a test and you're set. He's hilarious. Only people who leave bad reviews clearly swing towards one side of a political sp3ctrum. Easy A but you won't learn anything. Where do I begin? Jack Haley is the worst professor to ever walk through NU doors. Be prepared to be bombarded with false political ideas, racist comments to international students, and overall craziness. 150+ page word document are considered "notes" and half of the solutions to practice problems are wrong. Very good guy. 3 exams were pretty easy but grading was extremely arbitrary. You are only graded on the 3 exams, so you have to study hard for them. Prof Haley makes sure that you understand the concepts he is teaching. He makes it clear that he is always available to help. Was really surprised by the low ratings. Stats with Prof. Haley was really easy. It's just simple math with some extra steps. He is very caring and nice man. If you don't understand something just ask and he'll teach it again or ask him to work out problems when he has the time, he will help you one on one. The professor is unprofessional unprepared and a bit insensitive to cultural diversity. He is knowledgeble but can not really teach comprehensively. He teaches a classroom class as if it were a long distance class. With a lot of camtasia. No homework or quizzes. Had him for stats, very nice guy and funny, but such an awful teacher. Never actually teaches anything, just goes thru practice problems where he constantly makes mistakes and leaves everyone confused. Very easy grader though, so if you teach yourself you can do decent. The class was extremely straightforward. I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative reviews below, and it should be noted that the majority of people complaining likely got bad grades. This man is the epidemy of what people think a professor should be, instead of what actually a professor should actually be. Grades, Grades, Grades, 4 question 3 minute quizzes that are worth a lot. Do not take this professor. He is extremely out of touch. His lectures hardly cover material related to the class. He "teaches" his class based off a 180 page word document that is extremely unclear, unorganized, and has mistakes. Every word that comes out of his mouth is uncalled for. Offensive, insensitive and terrible at explaining anything. Students can't ask questions because he cuts you off every time. His methods for doing problems are extremely inconsistent and impossible to follow. Do not take this class. This professor uses a previous student's notes for his lectures and he is always off topic. The tests and quizzes are impossible to finish and he grades them in the most inconsistent way possible. Horrible professor. His lectures make no sense and he does not care about or acknowledge online students at all. He gives 4 questions 2 minute quizzes that are impossible to finish.
