This was a graduate course in Concurrent Programming taken at the Math Dept in the mid 1970s. There were about 5 people in the class. The course needed at least 5 people signed up just to run. The man is a legend. He's also very entertaining. You'll actually learn a lot if you care to, but he mostly makes sure you come away with a very strong basic knowledge of the material -- and this is reflected in the exams/homeworks. This is one of the most difficult courses a CS student could take, and the professor didn't make it any easier. He's oblivious to the fact that most students don't understand what he's teaching. Casey is a horrible lecturer. He uses slides that aren't his and very quickly goes over it. He doesn't teach as much as read. I find that those who say Casey is hard to understand are those who don't pay any attention in class and skip frequently. comp org Can't teach. Hw and Labs worth nothing. Quiz and Midterm almost identical.
