Julie Baker's online writing class should be avoided at all costs. She does empathize with the lives of her student. She offers no make up work, partial credit, or late assignments. Professor Baker clearly cares about her students and wants to see them be successful. She is supportive but knows how to challenge you to help you improve. She is very organized and explicit about what she's looking for. Whenever I needed help with something, she would respond very quickly. Seeing the reviews below, I was definitely a little nervous to take a class with her. However, the syllabus is very clear. My biggest recommendation for anybody reading these reviews is always hand things in on time and thoroughly revise rough drafts. I don't know what to say. I am really speechless to see someone so heartless in the middle of the pandemic. I believe people can change. Maybe one day. She thinks people are like trees. I DID take this class for credit the option did not let me pick that, wanted to make that correction. I am currently still in this class and COULD NOT wait to write a review. This is actually my first review ever because of how awful this class is. The professor treats this class like a Masters science program.
