She is very sweet but the lectures are just extremely boring and long. I don't think I learned much and she makes you submit your class notes as well as answer a reflection question after each class. I took ARTG 5150 as an entrance course into the Information Design and Data Visualization program and loved it a lot. Now I definitely have a better idea on how to map my data with visual channels. Kate is my favorite design professor I have met thus far her class, despite being online synchronous my experience in her class has been nothing but enjoyable and inspirational. Kate Terrado is my favorite professor ever! It's not an easy A, but I always learn the most from her classes and look back on my work with a sense of accomplishment. Kate is the best!!! Really down to earth, funny, nice and genuinely seems to care about her students learning design and all that goes with it. She is such a kind professor; and very inspirational. Lectures are a little boring/basic but if you can take the studio portion 1271 with her definitely do!
