The class was really easy, a couple papers and discussion posts. She's an easy grader and she gives you a pdf of the textbook. Sometimes her classes can be boring but its a required first-year writing class what can you do. She's also really nice and does seem to care about her students. Sometimes it did seem like she was droning on, and she went over the rubric and course goals extensively (to the point of boredom), but it was clear that she cared about the students. Had her for Advanced Writing in the Technical Professions. Unlike what others have previously said, I do not think she was a harsh grader at all. If you put the time into your writing and discuss drafts with her, she's extremely helpful. Super easy class (got 100s on all papers) but the class was so so boring and she didn't care at all, also she canceled class about ten times during the semester so I fr want my money back. If you take a class with Templeton, you can get a good grade as long as you do the work. However, I would NOT recommend taking this class. She is extremely dry and boring. It is very clear that she does not care about the class or your success at all.
