He is more like a history teacher than CS teacher, always talked about inventor of the algorithm but never focus on the algorithm. Homework questions are unreasonable, obscure and deduct our marks for unmentioned requirement. He changed the way he taught the course this year. 10 quizes 1 per week. Only learned something right before the class on thursday. Sample quizes were put on thursday morning and answers about 30 minutes before the test, therefore useless to try and learn it your self. He is a genius, but he is totally incapable of recognizing the disconnect between what he says and what students understand. His lectures were painful to sit through because he would often go off-topic and boast about the work his colleagues have done, or the projects he used to work on. He's a very nice guy and is very flexible. The class got him to drop a quiz grade and not have a final exam. There was no homework assignments, so this was one of the easiest classes I ever took and I got a relatively easy A. I highly recommend taking his class.CSU430 2005-04-19 17:24:10 +0000 UTC
