She's an amazing professor and she generally review regrade requests upon request. She can be a little aggressive at times, but she really does care about her students. GO TO LECTURES!!! My only regret is not going to lectures and cramming before tests. This call can be really easy but it depends all on you. Make sure you choose your partner for hwCS3500 2025-12-22 20:30:26 +0000 UTC
The best prof I had at Northeastern before I transferred. Hands down.CS1800 2025-05-07 21:10:23 +0000 UTC
Professor Nunez is really good about explaining concepts in a way that it's digestible, understandable, and interesting, she'd stop and ask us questions and it is evident she really cares about making sure we understand the material before moving on overall great professor.CS1802 2022-11-18 22:37:04 +0000 UTC
She explains concepts clearly and is accessible to students, responding to emails in a timely manner. The grading policies are strict, and some assignment instructions are super vague. This version of the course required a heavy workload, but it's changing next semester. She was challenging but you'll learn a lot from her for any course.CS3500 2025-12-18 02:19:54 +0000 UTC
Nice lecturer, tough class. Grading feels random—depends on TA luck. Exams nearly impossible, curves nonexistent. Good luck, brave souls!CS1800 2025-04-07 04:36:57 +0000 UTC
Prof Nunez does a really good job of breaking down concepts and explaining them well. Additionally, the homeworks he writes are fair and relate to the lectures he gives in class. With his help + the tas, I felt like I had a reasonable grasp of the material and was able to succeed.CS1802 2021-08-16 10:13:26 +0000 UTC
The professor has her flaws, but does okay to explain the content. The problem is the content is quite useless when you think about it. We spend excessive time analyzing design patterns that are unlikely to show up in a real SWE role. Across my past 3 internships and 2 upcoming ones I doubt I would need any of it. I wish we focused on DS instead.CS3500 2025-12-17 01:53:42 +0000 UTC
Nunez is an amazing prof all around, cares about her students and wants to help them succeedCS1800 2024-06-24 16:20:56 +0000 UTC
Professor Nunez is all-around a great teacher. The lectures are very helpful for understanding the content. There's a lot of homework, but you learn a lot from this class. It's not too challenging as long as you plan your time well. Definitely would take OOD with Nunez again.CS3500 2025-12-16 22:36:55 +0000 UTC
Had for a lab class, so helpful and willing to help when you are not understanding the content.CS1800 2024-04-23 21:39:08 +0000 UTC
The only problem with this course is that there is a LOT of material and homework. But the lectures are amazing and Lucia is very helpful. Great professor, she tries her best, is "tough but fair" lol.CS3500 2025-12-16 19:45:40 +0000 UTC
In CS it felt like all professors were just going to be cold and irritating till I took Nunez. Turned a class I was worried about as I had a weak math background and completely aced it. She is so caring and extremely good at teaching and breaking down concepts to a basic level. only had one exam and was not bad. only one topic our of the 10 was mehCS1800 2024-04-18 21:11:57 +0000 UTC
I took OOD with her, and overall she truly does the best she can given how challenging the course is structured to be. She cares about her students, is very understanding, and knows how to teach the material. While the class itself is extremely difficult, she is supportive and does everything she can to help students succeed within that structure.CS3500 2025-12-12 22:46:58 +0000 UTC
Professor Nunez is a fantastic professor, she's super kind and caring. I also had her for my lab, and she uses the same examples and problems she does in the lecture, which is excellent.CS1800 2023-01-06 00:33:42 +0000 UTC
One of the best most engaging professors I have ever had. She is a great lecturer, extremely knowledgeable and always willing to answer any question you may have. In addition, she just always knows the answers to literally anything CS related. Highly reccomend taking this class with her if she decides to teach the new OOD.CS3500 2025-12-12 22:39:30 +0000 UTC
