a lot of readings but hes super fair with his grading! u can tell hes super passionate about ea studies and your effort in the class definitely dictates the grade u end with! u can tell he cares about the students and theres no penalty for late assignments except u wont receive feedback comments. u can also rewrite papers for a better grade2351 2025-05-13 18:25:38 +0000 UTC
Very passionate about the subjects he teaches. If you are even mildly interested in East Asian history, he's a great professor to have. The class isn't too challenging, and his expectations are fair. Really funny and nice guy, had a no technology rule but it was fine since all of the assignments could be completed without any of the lectures. A basic understanding of the readings are necessary to do well in the class, but he was a really chill grader and fine with late stuff. As a rising senior in college, Prof Thornton is easily the best professor I have ever had. He is always available outside class, gives exceptional lectures, provides a welcoming class environment making it easy to participate and make friends, and is overall extremely knowledgeable in his field. Professor Thornton has honestly been one of the best professors I've ever had. He's clearly passionate about what he teaches and if you're willing to engage, it'll make the class a lot more fun.
